It's not correct in formal writing. Only one punctuation mark should be used.In very informal writing, you may also see triple exclamations!!!

(i) Punctuation error, otherwise OK. (ii) Fine. (iii) Not quite correct. "Was going to play" is not exactly wrong, but to me does not read terribly well in this sentence. Also, you play a trick on someone, not with them, and "villagers" needs an article.

.We don't 'say' punctuation, Vincent. You can write those exclamations almost any way that you want to-- use exclamation points if you want the speaker to seem more excited.

In the first case, I would probably write: I was confused: What should I write? However you do it, you certainly need some punctuation between "confused" and "what". Alternatively you could say: I was confused about what to / what I should write. In the second case, since...
