In British accent^x

Does Colin Firth use the RP accent? I live in the States and recently was in London for a week. It was difficult to understand the receptionist at our hotel. She sounded just like Eliza Doolittle (before extreme makeover!) Please email me if you start such a school. Thanks.

Because, Axastradra, two years ago, when the orignal poster asked about how to acquire a British accent, it was for the stated purpose of getting a role in a Harry Potter movie. The thread had moved in and out of addressing this aspect of it.
