.There is no rule; both are acceptable. In American English at least, it is common to speak 4-digit numbers with the last two digits zeros as 'hundred's:1100 -- eleven hundred9900 -- ninety-nine hundred. .

In American English, dealers is fine, too-- the company is considered as a number of sales agents... and it makes the company sound bigger. However, your original phrase has a redundancy-- dealers by definition sell. It should read: Jack Automobiles, dealers in old cars.
