In Apostrophes^x, Verbs^x, Past tenses^x

My gut reaction is that if you are using the brand name Nextel as a verb, the past tense should be Nexteled. Doubling up the 'l's to regularise it doesn't seem quite right to me. I don't like the apostrophe version at all! I'd be interested in what others think about this.
