I believe my motivation for applying for the position can be better understood considering my study path so far. I started my bachelor studies of Computer Science at *** Faculty of *** University in *** with clear intention to continue with master studies at the same place. After completing my bachelor degree I've chosen a specialization on Software Systems. From the beginning of my master studies I've been focusing on the field of formal methods in software development and especially on model-checking. During that stage I won the scholarship for excellent study results and finally I got my master degree this January with overall grade 1.

While working on my master thesis focused on model-checking of concurrent systems, I decided to get deeper knowledge in the field of formal verification and software reliability. I started to look for research groups and laboratories concentrating on these topics. I realized that *** group is dealing exactly with the problems I'm interested in and I immediately decided to apply for a PhD position in your team right after finishing my master studies. To get broader survey in the area of formal verification I started to attend a seminar, where many scientists focused on this topic present their current results. I also attend an intensive everyday course of French since September to reach at least basic level of the language.

My choice of my former university and faculty was based on general belief that this institution is the most challenging and provides the education of the highest quality in my country. This fact helped me to make my best while studying there. But now I appreciate an opportunity to focus on an exciting research topic even more than high demands imposed on students. I consider the *** group to be both the great challenge and the place of projects exactly corresponding to my research interests. I think of that as of opportunity to get broader view of formal methods and security and to take part in the top-class research project with exciting goals.

I'm convinced that I can contribute to the above-mentioned project because of the experience gained from my master thesis and during my master studies. In my work I dealt with model-checking, implementation of temporal logic, formal specification, modeling language design, semantics and translation. I believe that I can apply my knowledge of program verification in your project and that it is an excellent opportunity to get an expertise in the field of my utmost interest. I consider program verification and reliability being crucial for further development of software industry and I definitely want to take part in research of this area. first of all it depends where are you applying for job...Resume format is mostly used in USA, Canada (many other countries) while Europass CV is official format used in Europe.

From your Resume (format that you provided is Resume format) it seems that you recently graduated from school. Therefore, I would recommend reading this article on resume writing for graduates by Rade Santrac.

In case you are located in one of the EU countries then you should use Europass CV format. You can find MS Word template on official website of EU commission. Europass CV template is very complicated with tables embed inside many tables...so, lot's of people find it hard to control all those tables in MS Word.

You can use GetResume.com online Resume and CV builder to create your Standard Resume or Europass CV, download it in PDF for free. Also, you will be able to download eBook in PDF about Resume writing for free, as well

Yes, I agree that my summary is too long, Shall I eliminate it and instead write a cover letter? I would just make it shorter and in point form. Think of it as a chance to highlight your strengths.

Is this summary suitable to be a cover letter? You could use parts of it, but focus on the purpose of a cover letter.

Say what job/kind of job you want

Introduce yourself and your skills briefly, in terms of why people should choose you for this job.

Ask for an interview or whatever action you want the agency to take

Do I need a cover letter for a recruiting agency after all? I don't know. I think it's probably a good idea.

What about the rest of CV? I've added a few comments.

There are also books etc. available that give sample CV's for professional people. Have you had a chance to look at such things? You should.

SUMMARY

A highly motivated, determined, and dedicated 29 year old general practitioner (GP) with practical work experience in conducting evidence based medicine during my 16th month compulsory national service, when I was working as a GP in a health clinic handling most aspects of a GP responsibilities. My appreciation for importance of â evidence based medicineâ has led me to propose surveys and researches to gather appropriate data concerning most daily encountered medical problems. My commitment to humanitarian activities and my professional obligations led to a two-week voluntary work for Red Crescent during the very first days of catastrophic *** earthquake ( date), when I experienced working with the least equipment and facilities during a natural disaster of massive number of casualties and lots of emergencies. I spent two month of my internship and one month of my clerkship in a rural health clinic where I became familiar with the the country health system and policies in rural area while under supervision I was responsible for daily patient care and visits, handling and updating patients records, doing patients follow-ups, vaccination, pregnancy and pediatric routine cares, birth control, consultation, monitoring community health and addressing any health problem in the community. I proposed a survey during this invaluable experience of my internship to find out the results of failure of patient for following up their routing visits especially for pregnant women and juvenileâs which resulted in 23 percent increase in their attendance. The rest of my internship was in a large medical center in *** city during which we were trained for conducting a wide array of medical skills in all medical disciplines. I understand the value of research in medicine and have always been keen to conduct practical researches to solve some problems of community or bring new treatment to practice, which could be noticed from my research background. I have always been eager to connect my current knowledge to perpetual stream of new medical breakthroughs and practices through reading reputable medical journals, however my research background makes me to be critical to new article and research papers form content and methodology perspective. As a result of post graduation compulsory National Service, I served in the above health clinic having the full responsibility of a GP, handling primary health care issues , emergency settings, psychiatric cases, and being responsible for executing comprehensive patient workout, providing full medical and psychiatric consultation, figuring out patients diagnostic and therapeutic plan including: drug prescription, requesting x-rays and labs, referring to higher centers and appropriate specialties. I worked with three other doctors, seven nurses, and ten physician assistances, also being responsible for monitoring nurses and assistances work, coordinating personnel, and scheduling night shifts.
