Your lack of capital letters and your creative use of your own version of punctuation also makes it hard for me to follow your comments.

Think of it this way.
You walk into a room where I am, and you say 'I saw a student today'. I might say 'Oh, that's nice', or I might not even say anything at all. It's the first time this student has been nebtioned in our conversation.

You walk into a room and say 'I saw the student today'.
Aside from any other grammar issues, remember to start sentences with a capital letter and use end punctuation.

"Never has it happened" is okay, but not a common way to start. It certainly is emphatic. I'd suggest "Never before has..."

I'm not sure what you mean to say in the rest of the sentence though. Never before has the system been ...??

Can you try to say "closed to the nature" another way? Your meaning isn't clear.

Thanks,

Re: is this correct

Hi,
is this <strike>grammetrically</strike> grammatically correct?

do u believe in intutions and ESP (extra sensory perception) kind of things, i always ignore them thinking mere coincidences.
but the questions is ..are coincidences so frequent?
No. In addition to grammar problems, your spelling is incorrect, you are missing capital letters, your punctuation is not correct and you are using an inappropriate texting-style abbreviation.

Do you believe in intuition and ESP (extra sensory perception)? I grab every opportunity I get to correct my English.

The original is not my writing. I copied it over from a native speaker's blog. I rarely see native speaker not using capital letters and correct punctuation. Somehow, she's different. Don't worry, I won't pick up the incorrect usage after I've tried so hard to learn the right usage.

Thanks for the advice, GG.

Re: is or was?!

ripsi, welcome to the forums.

Use the "is" version. Unless something has happened to explain his absense, it remains strange at this moment in time.

It's a terrible question - either can be true. Was it strange yesterday when you realized he wasn't there? Is it strange now, having just learned he wasn't there?

In the meantime, take a bit more care with your writing. Use capital letters, and remember that there is no space before the punctuation mark, and that "wasn't" is one word.

Hi - Please start a new thread when you have a question, instead of adding on to a very old thread.

Your sentence will be correct if you use capital letters and end punctuation when you re-write it.
