Just to add to my previous post. Since The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time is told from the eyes of a child, the vocabulary and sentence constructions used are not awfully difficult or obscure, yet I think the book does serve the purpose of learning English.PBF

It's the eternal that sounds odd. Do you mean 'internal' - that would make a lot more sense.
