I am a qualified and experienced English teacher and I have been teaching in Korea for the past two years. My command of the English language is superb, I speak with a clear accent and I am careful to pronounce and articulate with clarity when students are listening.

I hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree from accredited universities (see below). Here is the scenario...

My past client contacted me state that she still interested to appoint me a job for her company. She also asks me about a couple of documents and my resume. Unfortunately, I just resigned from my previous employer and now Iâm working somewhere else and might be unable to deliver the job because of time restriction. I have to concentrate my job here rather than doing free-lance somewhere else.
However, Iâm really interested to do the job as freelancer, but Iâm not sure whether I have a time to do it or not.

So, here is the draft of that email. For your information, I have been working with her on one project and she said I did very well in that job. When she found out that I already left from the company, she was quite surprise because she wants me to do another job for her. She just asked me thru the phone something like this

Her : âSo Hampeh, what can you do to help me. I have a lot of project and I need your assistantâ

Me : âFirst of all, thanks for the opportunity. Your question seems really hard to answer since I just worked here and didnât plan to move out at this moment. However, Iâm ok with any freelance job.â

Her : âOkay, weâll see what can I do for you. By the way, can you send me the document ABC. I lost it and cannot ask it from my superior because she will angry because of thisâ

Me : âOk. Iâll find it and send it to you as soon as possible.

Her : âHampeh, if you really interested to work with us (Iâm not sure whether she offer me full time or free-lance), can you send your resume to me.

Me : âYes, sureâ

Here is the first draft of my email to her. Kindly please check the grammar, wording or whatever you think is suitable.

Dear Parole Members:

I am writing this letter in support of my brother, *** who is scheduled to appear before the Parole Board in February. I am imploring you to favorably consider his release as I can assure you that after 12 years, he has addressed his past harmful behavior and I am certain that he will do well upon his release.

Erik is 5 years my elder and although our individual temperaments were distinctive in that he was the more assertive, he was always considerate and helpful. I remember Erik in earlier years as being thoughtful and considerate, the one who taught me the alphabet how to tie my shoes and defended me when I was blamed for doing something wrong. Although he dropped out of school, he went to work, moved into his own apartment and seemed to do well for awhile. However, I became aware that he began to associate with an undesirable crowd and was using drugs as he strayed further from family and friends. I was very concerned, but was powerless in my futile attempt to help him. During this time we drifted apart, since his drug use forced him to commit acts against the law to finance his habit and resulted in his inevitable incarcerations.

In the ensuing years, I have spoken to him often on the phone and visited on occasion. However, I have not been able to see him lately as often as I would like, except when on leave, since I am currently on active military duty stationed outside the continental United States. I am an Officer in the Unites States Navy. Nonetheless, I do speak with my mother regularly, who is able to talk to Erik almost on a daily basis and has kept me updated on Erikâs progress. It is evident from my last visit and subsequent conversations with him that he has matured a great deal. He has learned how his lack of self control and extreme emotional state influenced his resorting to drugs and has vowed that if released, he would in no way resort to drugs. Erik now has a profound commitment to accomplishing his goals and no doubt he will never again be the kind of person who allows his emotions to outweigh his rationale. He has taken his past drug addiction very seriously and for that reason he has contacted several drug rehabilitation programs and has submitted applications for his enrollment in their out-patient programs. He has also participated in numerous programs during his incarceration to improve himself including his recent participation in the ASAT program. He has also sent his resume to numerous potential employers and has received positive responses with promises of future employment. He had a broad work history prior to his incarceration in addition to his marketable skills acquired in prison that will help him to obtain employment.

Erik is now 37 years old and considerably more sensible and wiser than the person who committed these crimes, and for that reason I am asking that you grant him his release as he deserves a second chance. Whatever the time spent and an example made in the past 12 years that his crime mandated, has been fulfilled.

I am about top disagree with some of your opinions but I salute you as a person and feel honoured to have met you here.

Again this may be a cultural thing but I would consider that any Aussie who gave a banknote to an unknown child and asked that child to return with change is somebody that I would arrange a game of poker with as I would consider that person to be a fool in possession of money soon to be parted with.

It is obvious that this money changing thing is not simply a debating trick, as referenced later, but a core belief that you hold.

You apparently see nothing unintelligent in the concept of a stranger giving a child money and asking that child to go away to obtain change and then come back again whereas I see that as being just as indicative of low intelligence as playing poker machines or gambling on horses. All three persuits are certain to leave you with less money despite the promise of easy gain.

But the truth is that building webs is something that is programmed into the brain of a spider; spiders do not learn how to weave webs from their parents. If a human wants to make a web like structure he learns how to do it by watching someone else do it or works it out; it is not instinctive.

A human child is born with the instinctive ability to smile and it is postulated, by Desmond Morris et al) that this is a staggeringly important survival ability. We learn things and we know things and we do some things without knowing just the same as the spider.

A spider has been demonstrated as possessing the ability to learn under controlled and repaetable circumstances and it is now thought that some spiders use this ability to learn to learn to hunt their prey by trial and error. The web casting spiders are one type and the jumping spiders are another.

I have worked with burkes who for one reason or another have intellects that I would compare unfavourably to some primates that I have read of. {See Animal Days by Desmond Morris} I consider that a person who takes a perfectly valid and functioning mind and blasts that mind with alcohol or drugs to be a burke. I have worked with a few such people and I was never able to trust any one of them. I had a brother who was a lovely bloke and quite bright who died in the gutter from alcoholic poisoning. For the last ten years of his life I was unable to understand his lifestyle. For the last three years of his life I was unable to carry on an intelligible conversation with him. The sad part was that everyone knew what was going to happen, we were surprised that he lived so long, the saddest part was that my brother knew what he was doing to himself.

At some point during my brother's final years his intellect dropped to a very very low point. He forgot how to do so many things. He could no longer drive a car. His manual dexterity was shot. He was still human but only just barely functioning. He was baffeled by some modern door locks and a computer was just a weird TV. He became definitely illiterate [I had to throw away the scribbled christmas card he sent me as my daughter was troubled by the prechildish scrawl from a fifty year old man] and probably innumerate.

The point I want to make is that humans have the capability to destroy the world because of their intelligence. If they do so it will not be because of a lack of intelligence, but for a multitude of other reasons.

Intelligence is a faculty that includes abilities such as seeing patterns, solving problems and the like. Being intelligent will not stop you being greedy, impetuous, lazy, aggressive, petty-minded, neurotic and a whole lot of other things.

I am again sorry if I have misunderstood your irony but such comments have already meen made in apparent seriousness by others.

I do not believe that the ability to destroy the world is an inevitable result of intelligent. That is too nihlistic for me to contemplate. As with many evolutionary things this ability is a glitch and will be shortly erradicated as we run out of cheap available energy.

I beleive that the ability to destroy the world will only exist for one more generation and then it will be dismantled and never reassembled.

There is nothing inevitable about nuclear armageddon. It is a very complex process and will be halted by humanity {as it already has done} if ever it is contemplated.

I do not know any truely intelligent people who are greedy, impetuous, lazy, aggressive, petty-minded, neurotic. I know some damaged people like that but I don't consider such people to be really intelligent at all.

Whenever we kill animals for food we use our intelligence, not superior strength or speed or any specially adapted equipment such as sharp teeth or claws; all hunting skills are learned or worked out and planning a hunt and making tools to catch and kill other animals requires intelligence. A spider can weave a web, but does not know how it does it. If humans weaved webs they would either have to learn how to do it or work it out, both of which require intelligence.

How do you presume to know what is in the mind of a spider? Forbes seems so superior in intelligence that Forbes is able to think for me and also be able to divine that a spider can not know how to do a thing.

I have unfortunately worked with people who have to be fed and bathed and cleaned and sat up and lay down.

I have worked with people who are so congenitally impaired that they can not perform any fucntions much higher than the autonomous. I sometimes carry on conversations with people who I suspect understand me less than my dog was able to.

Forbes now has the ability to divine that whales and elephants would be just as bad as us given the chance. How can Forbes know this? How many elephants and whales have you polled in your quest to be right?

I haven't seen the content of this dictionary yet. Not sure if it is the right one for me.

However I can give you some examples of what I'm looking for in terms of the expressions in English.

When people try to avoid the topic during a conversation - beating around the bush?

When a new college grad who doesn't have any working experience and he/she is trying to find a job - He/she would say " I hope my wings fly"..

On the other hand, when a person who has alot of working experience posts his/her resume on Monster.com and the person would expect to receive alot of job offers. The person would say something like this - Once I post my resume on Monster and the flut will come.

Do you people know what I'm talking about here?
