I have underlined some problems. It is also a bit wordy, and I have struck out phrases which should be eliminated (you will probably have to revise the sentences to accommodate these omissions):

Dear Sir or Madam:

I am writing this personal statement because of the need of external funding in order to improve my intellectual capacity by mastering on European Studies and create higher utility for Turkish Cypriot society by making new linkages, learning new languages and being aware of other cultures, which is currently very important to Turkish Cypriots on the stage of significant turning point.

During my bachelor studies I became a member of Cyprus Youth Platform, which is a student association for Turkish Cypriot students who are studying abroad in countries such as Turkey, England, Germany, USA, Canada, France, Ukraine and the Netherlands. Currently I am the Secretary General of the organization and have participated in many conferences and workshops about Europe and the Euro-Mediterranean region in various countries. Personally I am or under the name of Cyprus Youth Platform many projects constituted that funded by United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the European Union. The primary goal of these projects is the re-unification of Cyprus which we hope to achieve by focusing on ~~re-~~rapprochement between the Turkish-Cypriot and Greek-Cypriot communities. We aim to bring Turkish Cypriots closer to Europe and help all Cypriots to build a culture of peace on the island. Also with our projects we aimed to improve youth's direct relations with Europe, by visiting European Union states, increasing awareness and improve the socialization of youth.

As well as these macro-level goals, Cyprus Youth Platform also aims to develop solutions to problems facing young Cypriots. We print a monthly magazine, that I am in editorial board, called "Cypriot Youth", which educates and raises awareness around issues such as drug addiction and sexual discrimination and so on.

We have also formed a working group to improve studentâs rights and employment prospects in North Cyprus. The working group involves many participants including the office of the President, the Ministry of Education, state planning boards and universities in North Cyprus. It aims to develop ~~long-run~~ sustainable education policies through targeted hands-on solutions.

The main reason why I am applying for such a scholarship is I am planning to make master in Netherlands which is one of the former-state of European Union, on the topic of European Studies. In this one-year study period, the university ~~that I have applied to make my masters~~ is located in city of Maastricht that denominated European Union's economic criteria. ~~Being~~ aware of ~~this fact, out of~~ Maastricht University's high academic reputation, I believe that it help me to analyse Europe better. Spreading the ideas that I will learn or the linkages that I will make while studying abroad would benefit Cyprus and all Cypriots in many ways. ~~On the other hand~~ I know that there are ~~considerably high number of~~ many youths from Turkish Cypriot society and Greek Cypriot society studying in The Netherlands, which will give me another advantage. I believe in a country like Netherlands, all attempts on improving bi-communal relations and relations with other countries, will form new ideas that increase ~~the~~ tolerance in understanding that will give Cypriots and whole Europeans extra value added.

Hi, I've moved your post into the letters section. We won't write your letter for you but we will help. You can find lots of advice here about motivation letters and this is a good place to start, see Post:111482.

I would try to write your CV in a way that isn't just lots of lists. Of course, some things you have to list out, but other sections, such as your personal attributes (virtues) can be written out fully and will create a better impression that way. Section headings: 'Backround' should be Work Experience and you should list the most recent job at the top and work back from there. Didn't the 'courses' lead to qualifications - yet you list qualifications separately. A lot of the 'qualifications' sound as though they are skills rather than courses you have passed. Divide all this into simple 'qualifications' and 'skills' sections. 'Idioms' - you mean 'Languages'. 'Virtues' sounds odd - just do a personal statement describing yourself (not a list). This would include the information you have listed under Professional Interests.

That's an understatement. Very thin.

Your objective is too vague. what sort of industry do you want to work in - what sort of career goals do you have? Just 'a job in an English company' doesn't exactly tell anyone anything, does it. Valuable knowledge of what? what type of environment?

Are you sure you didn't get your high school diploma until you were 23 years old? If that really is the case then you probably need to include some explanation on what you were doing from the age of 18, normal graduation age. That's the first thing I would think as a recruiter - how come a 24 year old has no work experience, has only just acquired their high school diploma, and has done one year of a degree?
Also, why are you leaving your degree course?

Do you have any work experience? Do you have any experience relevant to work from your studies (i.e. led a team, researched something, took responsibility etc).

What computer skills do you have exactly 'most software' is not detailed enough. List the programmes you are competent in.

A brief personal statement is a good idea too.

Don't forget that when you apply for a job that person may have several hundred applictions in front of them. They will then narrow this down to a short-list of maybe only 6 people to interview. Your CV has to jump out at them and make you sound better than all the others. At the moment it says nothing about why anyone should employ you. You are 24 but this reads as though you have no experience in the adult world of work or studies.

You need an OBJECTIVE section at the start. If IBM receives your resume, they have many job openings. Say briefly what kind of job you are applying for.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

WORK EXPERIENCES

For each job, state your job title.

Start with verbs, or at least adjectives. tell them what you did.

This is often, perhaps normally, omitted.

Brevity can be good but this is just a collection of lists at the moment. You need to make some areas more complete.

I take it you are just about to leave school?

It is not usual (or even advisable) to include a photo with your CV in England.

You need to include more detail - which subjects have you taken exams in, even if you haven't got the results yet.

Other information: What are your computer skills like. Can you say something like 'I am a confident computer user with experience in Word, Excel, Outlook and the internet' (whatever is relevant to you of course).

I know it is difficult to build much of a CV at your age but try and find something to 'sell' yourself a bit more. Write a paragraph personal statement 'I am honest, intelligent and hard working and I hope to build a long-term career in ***. I want to work in England because.......'

Have you any school/hobby responsibilities or work experience you could mention?

Hi Andre,

This needs a lot of work. It is usual to lay out a CV in a more formal manner rather than as a letter. A good format is

Your details: Name, address, contact details, date of birth. (Drop all the stuff about your family, utterly irrelevant and including it in CV makes you lsound peculiar).

Personal Statement - just a short paragraph describing your self and your aspirations, for example, I am a non-smoker. I am resourceful, hard-working, and determined to make a career as a professional ballet dancer.

Education: List in a sort of 'table' format. You need to put where you studied and which qualifications you achieved (with details on subjects) and you should put the correct name of the qualifications - what are the actual German qualifications, don't just guess at ones in English, as these are not your actual real qualifications. If you are applying in England then you could put (equivalent to GCSE) - if these are the ones you took at age 16 - O'Levels were phased out long ago in the UK. Same thing with your high school qualifications - out the actual qualification then put (equivalent to A Levels). Your primary school is irrelevant.

Other Qualifications: Anything else you have achieved since leaving school, professional memberships etc.

IT proficiency: List all the programes you are proficient in.

Experience:Here you detail your work experience in REVERST chronological order, so that you start with the most recent and work down to the oldest. Where you worked, job title, brief description of duties/responsibilities.

Interests: If you can think of anything that makes you sound like a better employee, include it, if not, don't.
