Motivation letter for University

Hi everybody,

I found this forum few days ago. I think, it is so helpful and valuable for everyone.

I try to get through into Y.. University. I need your help to check my motivation letter such as grammar, structure, errors and etc.

I really appreciate your comment, ideas and opinions.
My due date for sending my application form, resume and motivation letter is October 15,2008.

Please help me.Thank you very much in advance to everybody who wants to "give me a hand".

Dear Madam or Sir,

The process of supply and demand is on-going and, as such requires organizations to both adapt and innovate. Organizations should meet the challenge of modern technology and, at times, challenge it themselves. They must also be able to exploit opportunities to create or maintain a good position in the financial market. In short, the banks and big corporations need high quality of financial service where the focus is on the internal and external stock market environment.

I have a passion to work with financial transactions, stock market and investment funds, so I would like to apply for the Bachelor's degree of Administrative studies, track Finance or Accounting into Faculty of .. at Y.. University which starts January 2009.

I graduated with Master's degree of Law from University of Moscow in 2000. My studies have given me a solid foundation in six fundamental fields: Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Banks' Law, Financial Law and Corporate Law. Since finishing my studies I have been working as a Legal Advisor at Y company.

I want to pursue an international caree in economics, specializing in Finance or Accounting field. My goal is to work as an analyst for one of the top investment banks or hedge funds, or as a Financial Advisor for a private trust in any world financial centre. To achieve this, I need to complete my academic background and to take a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting at Y..University which offers an outstanding education and has a superior reputation.

To be successful and achieve high standarts in the financial world, I need to obtain an extensive practical and theoretical knowledge in investment analysis, corporate finance, banking, and financial microstructure. I need to widen and deepen my understanding of quantitative techniques and financial behaviour. I am also eager to learn more about international financial systems and stock market investment funds. I understand that Finance and Accounting are very popular and competitive industry and it is rather challenging to achieve a professional career. I am however open-minded and prepared to meet all challenges presented to me. I am convinced that Bachelor's degree of Finance or Accounting will give me an opportunity to build a successful career and become a true professional, contributing value to my future companies.

"I have a sense of social mission â I deeply care about the people I work with and serve. I am one of those who want to âdo well by doing goodâ. It is my ambition to become a more effective researcher, medical practitioner and service leader â all to improve the health of our people, particularly children, and to strengthen our prevention abilities.

Having completed the Masterâs programme in Health Management I will continue working at my X Medical School and Women Crisis Centre. I think it will be the perfect starting point to utilize the expertise obtained to become a leader in researching and developing interventions to improve health, particularly child health, at local, national and international settings.Â

At the first stage X Medical School will enable me to share my experiences and applied knowledge with students and medical professionals. At Women Crisis Centre I am going to start with promoting the adoption of laws in domestic violence (there is no applicable laws to date in our region), launching new social projects and with that sustainable development.Â

Since the range of factors that influences peopleâs health can seldom be addressed adequately by only one organization or program, a multidisciplinary approach to providing public health services has grown in importance. Dear Sir/Madam

I am considering a future career in neuropharmacology and doing a PhD will build on the valuable experience I am acquiring here at the ** University.

My immediate plans for 2009, after finishing my M.Sc project in 2008, are to do the required year of Community Service to register as a Pharmacist at the ** Pharmacy Counsel. I was planning to consider all my options in 2009 while doing Comserve, but what I really wanted to look for is an opportunity to undertake a bigger challenge, like a PhD abroad. The opportunity just presented itself a bit early! A while ago Prof. ** (Ph.D), Director of Research Unit: Drug Research and Development/ Professor of Pharmaceutics, **, forwarded an email from ** to the Pharmacology Department, ** University. Prof. ** encouraged us to seriously consider the opportunity and she stated that âIt sounds fantastic!â

The fact that the ** is bringing knowledge from all over the world together to encourage connections between foreign Universities, makes a PhD in Paris a very attractive, agreeable option indeed. The bonus is who wouldnât love to study at an International University, rated under the top 30 Universities worldwide and to see France! Learning French will be hard, but luckily I am relatively good at languages and thanks to the French courses you present for foreign students I have peace of mind about it and even look forward to the challenge!

Neuropharmacology won my interest over in the last two years and I have a desire to extend my knowledge and experience in Neuroscience. Some of the project opportunities and involved teams at ** that caught my eye because they have common characteristics than my current study are: âStudy of glutamatergic neurotransmission in the normal or pathological central nervous system of rodent and humanâ, âDevelopmental role of neurotransmittersâ, âNeuropsychopharmacology and Neurodegenerative diseasesâ.

I am good with troubleshooting, I like to solve problems and I have had plenty of experience in it this year with the 2 methods I had to optimize for rat brain tissue. I am a dedicated student, enthusiastic about my work and can work overtime to achieve a goal. The inputs and guidance of other researchers are valuable to me and I support the contribution and numerous other assets of group work, but I can also function very well independently.

I know that I have the background and competence to succeed in the program and I am eager to apply what I have learned during my Masters in further studies. Please consider me as a candidate for PhD in 2010.

Hi N2G,

To me, a motivation letter is one that you often have to write when applying to a University, especially for postgraduate courses (MSc/MA/PhD etc.).
It should mention why you are interested in a certain course/research topic, explain why you are a good candidate and why you should be chosen, and point out what the benefits for your future career are.

It's a bit like advertising yourself!

Hi everyone,
I'm new here and I want to apply for a job in consultancy or management. It is going to be sort of a career change but not really a complete career change. I'm writing a motivation letter but don't seem to get it right or don't know :( could you please correct this one and give me ideas and feedback about what i should write in? The reason i want to leave my current job is there is no career development for me there and i don't want to loose my skills with no development. same time i don't know how to put that down in the motivation letter

In the past two years, I have made an effort to learn about the intricacies of some subject names.
