Hi h & k, WELCOME TO THE FORUMS ! ! ! Thanks for joining us.

I guess we'd consider as irregular plurals, things like deer, deer; man, men; child, children; hoof, hooves.

"Vocabulary" can be either countable or uncountable. His English vocabulary comprises only a hundred words, but he has extensive vocabularies in French and German.

Improving vocabulary is a major goal of the new reading program.

Objective and goal are similar.

My objective/goal is to educate people in the use of English vocabulary.

Objective is slightly more formal. A military commander would give objectives to his troops.

Goals can be more personal. When making a New Year's Resolution, people may list their goals for the year.

Purpose is what something is for. The purpose of a goal is to keep you focused on succeeding.

Learning English through games and film with subtitle very helpful but book is best I think

I wolud like to know how to improve english vocabulary. Actually I have learnt my school in my mother tongue only. In my college though I have studied in English it is mainly oriented in subject wise only. Now I want to go for higher studies. For this I need to improve my English. Daily I am reading newspaper and practing the difficult word which I find in that. I have to prepare for TOEFL exam. I would be happy if you suggest me any way to improve further my English. Now I am attending the English advanced Course.
