Re: Essay Correction: Pls help me!

During the last winter vacation, my husband and I were browsing some interview and job sites as he was looking for a change. I was helping him with some interview questions and suddenly I was struck by the same question. Did I ever ask the same question of (of?!<--why not to? OR to me?) myself? Whether I would be happy what (will be happy doing the same thing what I am doing right now) I am doing right now and keep doing it happily even after five years from now?

Right from the beginning, I have had (faced) many challenges to reach the place where I am today. Life was never smooth sailing for me. And (no need of And?) now I feel relaxed with very simple problems but no big challenges any more. To be honest, challenge is like water to me. One can live without it for a (no need of a) few days but it is an essential requirement for life. I may be enjoying my present but this is not what (?) I see myself after five years.

Here is my dream: A day in my future started (starts) with a successful business meeting where I introduced (introduce) new policies which were benefecial (are beneficial) to the company as well as the employees, helping them to improve their performance and solving (solve) their problems. Finally the day ended (ends) with a smile on my face as well as the staff. (What should I write here? staff face or what?)

Yes, you guessed it correctly! I see myself as a successful Human Resource Manager or working as a manager in a personnel department in an organization, who (?) is working for the greatest asset of the company: Human force(humans?). It is a (no need of a?) most challenging area of any business and the success of an organization mainly depends on its human force(?). In simple words, an organization is a big family. Working as a key factor in a big family and making every body satisfied, solving their problems and making it a successful family is a great challenge which I want to face successfully.

Doesn't it drive everyone crazy when your girl/boyfriend constantly corrects your use of verb contractions to start a sentence.

Doesn't it drive you mad when you know you're right but the other person refuses to consider that a possibility?
Doesn't it drive you mad when people make a huge deal about you making a small mistake?
Doesn't it drive you crazy when a small client who is clearly on a shoestring budget manages to pay you on time but that huge corporate or government client keeps you waiting?

All I can say is that you need a question mark:

I understand that the use of verb contractions is best avoided in formal writing, but is it grammatically correct to start a sentence in conversation using one.

Why not? I found it in many interviews all around the Internet. It is not a true question. It is a call to agree with the observation that follows and to give the personal reasons or opinion.

An embedded question (also called an indirect question) can be introduced by any question word.

I have no idea how long the interview will take.

Direct questions have a question mark (?), and the subject and the verb are inverted.

How long will the interview take?

(How long the interview will take? is not correct.)
