In Invitations^x, Spelling^x

I used the word "til" on my daughter's birthday party invitations...my 8 year old caught the spelling and made fun of me. Why was I brought up or thinking this was the proper way to spell it? I remember back in the day of winning all the spelling "bees" or b's. Is alzheimer's slowly coming on?

Hi, I reached your query when i was searching for the same thing and coincidently, i had made the same mistake of mis- spelling it RSPV. The actual abbreviation found on an invitation is,RSVP. and comes from the French expression "répondez s'il vous plaît", meaning "please respond". Bye, Ciji
