WOULD

In formal writing pepole use past simple tense.But i have seen many times books and other articles includes sentenceswhich have been made of "would"...I know that "would" is used in conditional clauses.Where as i realy want to know what are the situations where i can use "wolud" and please explain me whats the difference between "would" and "will".Can i use these two terms as the same meaning in formal writting?

what i want to know is this.please help me to find out this,iv beendying to get a answer which i expect,,
here,this is a sentence which i found in my text book.

"Under this method materials in concern WOULD BE stored in two different places in th company's storeroom"

so my question is this is a general fact.this is tru.so cant i use present simple tense?
"Under this method material in concern ARE STORED.."

Yea.. I think we have the same problem about how to improve our English Conversation Skills :P Here in Thailand.. I also don't have a chance to improve or to use English in the conversation.. Yes we have to learn about grammatically.. but I still have to learning about how to communicate people around the world by using English language. ^^

They are a place for people to ask questions about English, to discuss problems with using English, to find out what colloqualisms are and how they are used, to talk about all sorts of things.

You can learn English by practicing it, by reading the posts and learning from what is in them.

What they are not is a teaching centre.

ok, now I'm still a beginner (or at least I consider myself a beginner), I'm curious to see how much I'll improve in the next few months, when I should be using English even more than I'm doing now.
I don't learn English just because I want to learn it, I really need it for my studies and to communicate (isn't it amazing everybody here speaks a different language in their own country, and yet we are all able to exchange our thoughts and ideas?)
I noticed an improvement in my English, but I actually never practiced listening much (very little, to be exact). So if I start to listen to some radios on a regular basis, I should soon notice a substantial improvment. We will see what happens in some months.

Learning English gives me a lot of fun. I really enjoy it. But it wasn't always like that. The first foreign language which I grew fond of was French (and I still like it very very much ). But at the time when I was learning foreign languages very intensively, I mean during my secondary school, I didn't have a good French teacher. So I had to learn English more and I felt sad. Because then it wasn't my choice.

Now, everything has changed. My desire to rebel, so typical to all the youth is over (at least in this case). I like learning in general and now I take to learning English, too. I like getting to know new words, talking with people from different countries and so on. What's more, I have a few of my close relatives in the U.S and in Canada, so using English is the only possibility to comunicate with them (because they don't know Polish unfortunately ).

how to be good in english

i started learn english since my secondary school.but i find it quite difficult to be good in english.my major problem is grammar.i don`t know how to overcome with this problem.eventhough i am a tesl student,it quite difficult for me to speak using english in my daily life.besides,the environment do not help me to improve my english.in my college,most of the students do not use english as a communication language.as a tesl student,we try to speak in english,but the other students will looks at us with strange look.it seems like that we are an allien that comes from mars.so could u please solve my problem..........

In 1985, the economy of Vietnam was still subsidized by the government; we applied the close diplomatic policy. All the media such as movies, documents, books, magazines from capitalistic nation (especially from America) were controlled very tough.

English was only used in diplomacy agencies, import export companies and at the border gates. In secondary high school, students were taught English as well as France and Russian. English was just like an optional foreign language to learn in school as the others. There are not many differences between them. People who speak English well at this time are mainly the elder. Most of them are English teachers, intellectuals or the office worker who served in American offices before 1975. Therefore the need of using English was not much.

Since 1995, Vietnam has an innovation in foreign policy. This period is the starting point of the economic growth of Vietnam. I will list three main reasons that make changes to the spread of English in Vietnam.

In July 1995, Vietnam and America opened the diplomatic relations, agreed to normalize the trade and travel between two countries. A lot of foreign companies open their brands, representative offices in Vietnam. They employed Vietnamese employees. It is certainly that only people speak English fluently are qualified for the job.
Thanks to the new diplomatic policy, our export value was growing over year. That mean we have more business with foreign companies from over the world. Most of them use English as the lingua franca to communicate with Vietnamese. Also the official documents like contracts, L/C, invoice, bill of lading and so on, used English.
In 1998, the movement of studying overseas rose remarkable. The student mainly studied in English speaking countries.

The Vietnamese realized that English will be more needed in the near future. They started to learn English to get the degree of English as the ticket for their better jobs and educations. As the result, the English centers grew like mushroom. At the beginning, there were only state own schools with Vietnamese teacher staff. Because the employee just needed the English degree at B level (there are three degrees A, B, C which were issued by the ministry of education) to apply for a job. In fact, to communicate well with foreigners and understand the documents, people need more than this. For example:

Working for a foreign company, you not only need a certain degree of English but also the true ability to speak, read and write English.
If the professors or students want to research the new technology, they must be good at English, because most of the material as well as web pages are written in English.

To meet the demand, the International language centers were soon opened. All the teachers there are native English speaker. The numbers of these language centers keep increasing every year and the teaching quality is increasing also.

Today, great numbers of Vietnamese speak English, especially in many fields like tourism, services, trade and education. English is not only spoken by well white-collar workers but also blue-collar ones.

In the future, Vietnam will join WTO and has more business with foreign partner. I believe that English will be more and more used in our country.
