Hi, Yes. But it's a countable noun, so you need to say 'I'm a hotshot at cooking' or 'I'm the hotshot at cooking in my family'. My dictionary has it as one word, although you'll sometimes see it as two words or with a hyphen. That's because it's a rather informal term. Best wishes, Clive
