No! "He has been pleading with someone for something" is not a passive sentence. It is a sentence of present perfect progressive tense. It is used to emphasize the action that started in the past is still now continuing. paco

No, the passive sentences are not correct. They cannot be used like that. Why would you want to make them passive? Isn't Tom more important than the letter? Why is the letter so important?
