Anon, do you disagree with the assessment about the subjunctive? It's more useful if you say WHY you disagree than to simply post a response that is in disagreement with what is already posted.

I think this is subjunctive mood, which happens to be "she speak" for third person singular. In indicative mood, it's "she speaks," as in "Her uncle likes it better when she speaks with him personally."
