Help with writing a letter to GP's

Hi,

Could I please ask you to review my letter and indicate what needs to be changed in order for this to come across as a letter from a professional. I am professional and qualified in what I do, I am just not so good with words. I am an alternative health practitioner (Ayurveda) and I want to write to all the GP's where I live to introduce myself and let them know what I am doing.

I am writing to introduce my self to you, (my name). I am an Ayurvedic practitioner and have a clinic at ??? medical centre where I see patients for health promotion and wellness, and for improved health. I qualified in 2005 after taking a 3 year degree in Ayurveda at ?? University. I then spent time in India gaining practical experience.

As I am now seeing more and more clients, and some maybe patients of yours, I thought I should advise you of what I am doing.

Ayurveda is the world's oldest scientific system of natural medicine, having its heritage in ancient India. It is formally recognized by the World Health Organisation and is known to be a complete health care system, which emphasizes prevention of disease, as well as promotion of health and longevity.

Ayurveda holds that the primary force in the causation of disease is imbalance resulting from disruption of homeostasis or immunity. Ayurveda does not separate mind from body and places equal importance on mental, emotional, and behavioural factors, which are seen as critical in the development of imbalances, hence disease.

Ayurveda tells us that every creation inclusive of a human being is a model of the universe. In this model, the basic matter and the dynamic forces (Dosha) of the nature determine health and disease, and also determine the medicinal value of any substance (plant and mineral). The Ayurvedic practices, chiefly that of diet, life style, herbal preparation, massage, and meditation, aim to maintain the Dosha equilibrium. Therapy is customised to the individual's constitution (Prakruti). Numerous Ayurvedic medicines (plants in particular) have been tested for their biological and clinical potential using modern validation, and thereby setting an interface with modern medicine.

There have been much research on the viability of Ayurvedic herbs to the cure of diseases like AIDS, Cancer, Tuberculosis etc., these experiments have met with great success. However, my current experience would allow me to refer more seriously ill patients to their GP and/or a more qualified Ayurvedic doctor.

I have come across very few HR departments os small-medium sized companies who have enough time to write experience letters so they ask for the text,

modify it if they feel necessary, print and sign it

yes it did happen. Actually it was outsourcing contract and our client wanted to test the people who were going to work for them. So basically the test was

conducted online by our client. Do you think that this point is giving negative sense to the company?

In October 2004,we participated in GITEX in Dubai, and we selected Mr MH to represent us there.

This is showing that the company pariticipated GITEX as a visitor, whereas we participated as exhibitors and I selected to go along with my boss.

I was first appointed as Record Assistant in GAD on 13.2.1978 on Sports Quota and my services were regularized on 14.2.1978. My probation was declared on 13.2.1980 and was promoted as Typist with effect from 14.10.1980 in GAD. My services in the category of Typist were regularized services in the category of Typist w.e.f. 13.2.1983 as per orders issued in G.O.Rt.No.4576, G.A.(OP.IV) Dept. dt. 23.12.1987, after having obtained required qualification of passing SSLC, Typewriting Eng.Higher, PUC and BA Degree by me.

I submit there is no post of Typist in Departments of Secretariat on the date of 13.2.1983. A new post of TCA created w.e.f. 22.11.1982 vide G.O.Ms.No.575, G.A.(Ser.B) Dept. dt. 22.11.1982 for which a degree a qualification prescribed for TCA. The GAD regularized my services as TCA w.e.f. 30.7.1985, the date of passing of my BA degree examinations. This is not applicable in my case, as I was fully qualified to hold the post as on 14.10.1980 as Typist GAD during May/June 1980 DPC was constituted for selection me for appointment as Typist by transfer from the post of Record assistant GAD.

Thus my regularization is not benefited to me and I became the victim.

I beg to state as per GO Ms No.627, GA(Ser.A) Dept. dt. 21.12.983, prescription of minimum services for promotion/appointment by recruitment by transfer to next higher class or category or grade is ordinarily three years, but in no case shall it be less than two years in the category from which such promotion or transfer which comes into force on 12. The men who actually are the family heads and financial controllers, attend in small numbers and many of whom present with late stage disease. Am particularly motivated by this observation because, in this era of scaling up of Antiretroviral Therapy in our enviroment, improved male involvement, equals improved adherence and voluntary counseling and testing which are key issues in this regard. Iam a very ambitious and determined person who really enjoys moving forward and in the right direction. From (date) to (date) I studied at Port Elizabeth University, graduating with a Bachelor of Technology in Environmental Health. I took specific subjects such as Solid Waste Management, Food Hygiene, Management Practice and Biostatistics.

Since 2000, I have worked as a lecturer at xxx (name it) higher education institute. I lecture in Solid Waste Management, Health Promotion and Food Hygiene.
