One sentence does not begin with a capital letter (but ought to).

One word beginning with "s" and one with "n" is misspelt.

An apostrophe is missing.

A quotation mark is opened but not closed.

I think that the '"do's and don'ts" are inappropriate to the situation.-- Yes. Do's and don'ts is an idiom. (Notice that for clarity we do not use a second apostrophe in "don't's")

I think his "how are you's" are inappropriate. -- No. His "how are you"s are inappropriate. I don't think we need the "?".

What do you mean precisely by an 'inverted comma'? If you mean the marks that I have placed around 'inverted comma', then those serve as informal quotation marks, as quotation marks within quotation marks, and as apostrophes.

Do we italicize blog names and website names?

Do blogs or websites have definitive names? How does one identify the correct name? I suppose I would use italics if I were typing.

Why did you choose to attach an 's' to both of them? I think the logic is that an apostrophe is used when there is a danger of confusion,as in '4's'. I think quotation marks are not necessary since normally you use either a pair of quotation marks or a hyphen when highlighting (Is this a right word for this context?) words that are not lifted (quoted??) out of someone's writing.

Actually, in sentence one, the thing I want to ask is:

If you can imagine, when inundations come to one province, people of other provinces donates food, drink, money etc (I'm still confused when can we use plural or singular for food and drink here).... and they pack them all in packages which is then sent to the poor province... What can we call that?

Not to sure if I have psoted this question already. My PC rebootted as I submitted my question. Here it is again:

Re-write the following as four lines of verse, putting in capitals, quotation marks and punctuation marks:

come back come back he cried in grief across the stormy water and i ll forgive your highland chief my daughter o my daughter

"Come back, come back," he cried in grief,

Across the stormy water,

"And I'll forgive your Highland Chief"

"My daughter o my daughter." (does daughter need to start with a capital, and does "o" need an apostrophe)

English unusual case punctuation

At Mt. Rose Ski Area there is a sign at the entrance listing some rules forbidding bringing in alcoholic beverages, etc. The sign says, ROSE NO'S and then lists what is forbidden. I say there should be no apostrophe between the O and the S as that makes NOS possesive which, of course, is an absurdity. I say that NOS should be enclosed in quotation marks indicating that it is understood that it is not strictly proper but, rather, is being used in a fanciful way. The sign should read like this:

ROSE "NOS":

NO ALCOHOL BROUGHT IN, BLA, BLA,BLA

ETC, ETC

Am I right?
