Thanks a lot Grammar Geek! Yes, you have got it right. That's what I intended to say. If I had provided the context of the conversation it would have been a lot simpler to understand what I meant. I had this conversation with a friend of mine who had (or has as he is still enrolled there, don't know which one to use) joined a coaching institute for an exam. I am also preparing for the same exam and also had had/taken the coaching for the same in 2004. So, I was telling him my view on the coaching.

By the way, is it wrong to say "what institutes teach you at their classroom sessions."? I guess 'at' should be replaced by 'in' but is there anything else wrong with this sentence and is the personification of institutes wrong?

Kindly mention if I have made any mistakes in the above paragraphs.

Here are some points to emphasize for your understanding:

1) I have reiterated many times about my position and my technical expertise for MI. Please be informed that I am not a web developer for this project and that MI does not require one. I am a BW Consultant specializing in front end web reporting. Below is the BW Diagram I have downloaded from SAP AG. I specialize in the area highlighted by a blue box.

2) Web reporting is a big area for MI because all our MI Web Reports are displayed via Internet Browser. Our MI reporting codes need to be maintained from time to time by a technical expert who has to debug the backend codes owing to changes. That is why I have to attend to most of Wendyâs and Chee Weiâs requests which are unforeseen to the team because of report coding bugs as all these report codes were written by me from scratch.

3) If I am to focus and accelerate on BW support, I would suggest the management to hire another BW Consultant specializing in Web Reporting & Front End to take over my presentt position which cannot be filled by a normal web developer unless such recruit be given specific training on SAP, BW Front End and BW Programming. Allow me to state the following event to prove my point. Syamraj has been assigned to BSP programming, but he cannot perform despite being a BW Consultant. What more can a Web Developer who dosenât know SAP do?

4) It does not pay to always compare Reena with myself as she has zero knowledge in BW whereas I am one of the pioneers to build BW MI Web Reporting from scratch with 2 years of experience in BW Reporting and 5 years inweb and having successfully completed 2 major BW Projects for BAT as well (AME & Project FREE). I can say I am technically very strong. I would earnestly request the management to consider favourbly my suggestion (as stated in the preceding paragraph) if I were to concentrate and excel in a support role.

5) Multitasking is not an issue but not recommended in different broad areas like BW Web Reporting and BW Support. If implemented in those areas, surely my priorities may not be for support on account of the lack of concentration. It is, however, absolutely fine to adopt multitasking for minor roles like coordinating training, documenting support procedures, preparing a practical training plan, knowledge transfer, slides preparation & presentation, managing documents, etc

6) Lastly, may I advise that from my investigation, my charge out rate as a BW Consultant specializing in Web Reporting is really not at par with industry standard signifying that my current workload has to be measurable to my current charges.

Personally, I do think that you have fully understood the question.

Frist all, its about the overdrawn in your account..following by the ' bank will charged $70 from your account", which means that it havent happen yet, but its going to happen soon. That is the reason you are writting this letter to the bank to explain the whole situation. However, in your letter, you kind of sending message to us that its have been already happend. That is your frist mistake.

"Writting this letter is actually ask you to explain to the bank about it and make requirements to correct the information and cancel the extra $70"--- that is the whole task you have to completed it.

Secondly, your letter doesnt have paragraph. Its really bad! sorry! You kind make all the information in one paragraph. its hard to the reader to follow ur wrote down.

How does 'scenery' show acceptance of homosexual unions? I wonder if you mean 'in the international scene'?

I don't understand what with approach in the equality principle means. You need to say it another way.

I need a great help. I translated the summary of a monograph, which I have to hand in tomorrow - and I 'd like to know if there are any mistakes, please!!!

Here it goes:

This monograph tries to show the reality of a current and polemical topic in Brazil: adoption by homoaffective pairs (here may I write gay pairs instead of homoaffective pairs? In fact I donât know if this expression âhomoaffective pairsâ exist, sorry!).To a better understanding of the topic, at first instance, a brief historical is done concerning the evolution of family patterns. The changes that happened in the Brazilian family are broached (or itâs better to say here are accosted?), showing the new existent patterns nowadays.In the following chapter, besides a brief study of the prejudice with regard to the homosexual in the course of the history, with approach in the equality principle, itâs showed up the acceptance to the gay union in the international scenery and in Brazilian juridical system. Broaches (or Accosts?) the adoption problem in Brazil, as well as its requirements and purpose, that is to assure the child and adolescentâs right to the familiar and communitarian familiarity.In the last chapter, the core of this monograph is reached, the adoption by gay pairs. Do you have a problem with the "window" examples, or just the "salary" ones?

In English, there is a category of verbs known as Ergative Verbs. They are verbs which allow the three-voice option of active, middle or passive (Lock, 1996). Examples include close, evaporate, bend, increase, sink, shrink, drown, break, change, drop, etc (okay, I stole this last paragraph - I'm trying to find the ref.)

I'm not sure if it includes all verbs which may be both transitive and intransitive (not at the same time).

No one denies the importance of English language in the present time as global language. It is clear that the English language has become more dominant around the world. In some countries it use as the mother tongue and ,other countries learn it as second language in their schools. This is make English widespread. In addition, many reasons which contributed to rising of English spreading . for example, use it for communication between people around the world, as well as, it is language of modern times. On other hand , English is the language of science and technology.

There is no doubt that, the English is language of communication between the people with different cultures . It is also the language of computers that help to communicate with the people around the world through Internet technology and e-mail. People who know English can deal with the Internet, which is regard information and communications revolution .

Also one of reasons that contributed to the spread of English that, it is the language of the modern era. Where the people are use it in various field of life such as, economy, e-commerce, medicine and aviation. In addition ,it is the language which use in the tourism and travel. This reasons motive the people to learn English .

One of the main reasons why the English is dominant in the present time, use it in the field of education by universities and institutes and, they use it in scientific research . It has become an addendum to the mastery of scientific individual stock. On the other hand, the English is an important requirement in most government jobs and private.

Hello everyone, nice forum you have here. I have a research paper due tomorrow and I have always had problems with punctuation and mechanics.

I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to proofread it. Also, I have a works cited list, but I dont know where exactly to put the citations if multiple paragraphs are from the same source. Anywways, heres the paper:

Writing is known to be a very therapeutic process and many authors have utilized this quality throughout history. When writing reflects the authorsâ thoughts and experiences, the work becomes all the more meaningful and realistic. This brings about a quality that many people can relate to. Death, sadness, the desire to escape real life and, and hard times in general are recurring themes in literature. Themes such as this, although depressing, make up the basis of some of the best writing today.

These motifs make up the mold for the works of Tennessee Williams and Kate Chopin. Tennessee Williams is best known for two of his plays, The Glass Menagerie and A Streetcar Named Desire. Both plays are heavily, heavily influenced by the tragic events of his life. Kate Chopin grew up in the Creoles of Louisiana, which had a lot of influence on her writing. Her most famous work, The Awakening, was banned for a few decades due to controversial content. She is also known for her short stories, Desireeâs Baby, The Storm, and The Story of an Hour.

In order to understand the meanings behind the words, it is necessary to first understand how these authors grew up. Without background knowledge, it would be hard for one to understand the times and troubles that the authors went through. Without knowing anything about their lives, it is not possible to make even educated guesses as to the meanings.

Kate Chopin was born February 8^th, 1850 as Katherine O'Flaherty. Having grown up in Louisiana, she is considered one of the southern forerunners for feminism in the 20^th century. Much of her work was based around her life's events.

Thomas OâFlaherty, her father, was a founder of the Missouri Pacific Railroad. When Kate was five years old, Thomas was one of twenty nine people who died in a bridge collapse over the Gasconade River. That same year, she entered into the Sacred Heart Academy in St. Louis. She ended up being very close to her mother and great grand-mother. In 1962, tragedy struck. Her brother George, a confederate soldier, died as a prisoner of war, and her great grand-mother passed away of old age. Following these deaths, Kate left Sacred Heart and immersed herself in reading. In 1865, she returned to her studies at Sacred Heart.

At nineteen years of age, she married a cotton farmer, Oscar Chopin. They proceeded to have 6 kids over the course of nine years. Oscarâs cotton business wasnât working out, so they moved to a small Louisiana town, Cloutierville. There, Oscar worked and managed a few plantations as well as a general store. Meanwhile, Kate had become involved in the community, diving headfirst into the Creole culture.

Oscar died in 1882 of Malaria, leaving Kate in a lot of debt. She tried to keep up work at the plantations and general store, but it was not working. At her motherâs request, she moved her family back to St. Louis. In the depressed state she was in, her doctor told her to start writing because he thought it would be therapeutic for her. He said, âHe understood that writing could be a focus for her extraordinary energy, as well as a source of income." Kate Chopin died in 1904 of a brain hemorrhage.

Like Kate Chopin, Tennessee Williams suffered from many family problems. Tennessee Williams was born March 26, 1911 as Thomas Williams, but was dubbed Tennessee when he joined the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity at the University of Missouri. When he was five years old, both of his legs became paralyzed completely. Luckily, this was only for two years. During that time, his mother pushed him to make up stories and read a lot. Even when his legs were better, he continued writing stories. His mother gave him a typewriter when he was thirteen years old.

His father, Cornelius was a traveling salesman who became quite abusive over the years. He always favored Tennesseeâs brother, Dakin. At one point during the Great Depression, Cornelius forced Tennessee to leave the University of Missouri to work in a shoe factory. He soon went back to school at Washington University in St. Louis, but finally graduated at the University of Iowa in 1938.

Rose Williams, Tennesseeâs sister, was a beautiful girl, diagnosed with Schizophrenia at a young age. Tennessee Williams loved his sister with all his heart, some even suggest in a way beyond sibling love. When Tennessee was at college in 1937, her parents gave permission to the doctors for a lobotomy, which went very wrong and incapacitated her for the rest of her life. Tennessee took this very badly and never forgave his parents.

Williams had been in a homosexual relationship with Frank Merlo for almost twenty years until 1963 when he died of cancer. Merlo had given Williams an arm to lean on for his depression and drug problems. When he died, Williams really went over the edge. Williams had alcohol and drug problems, with dependence on different Amphetamines and downers such as Barbiturates. These were prescribed by the infamous Dr. Max âFeelgoodâ Jacobson, who prescribed dangerous and addictive drugs to people such as John F. Kennedy, Truman Capote, Anthony Quinn and Eddie Fisher.

In regards to autobiographical elements in plays, it does not get more pronounced than in Williamsâ The Glass Menagerie. The entire play is basically an autobiography of Williamsâ problems. In the play, Laura Wingfield is a pretty, hermetic girl, with an undisclosed mental problem. She is a mirror image of Rose Williams, and her problem with Schizophrenia. Amanda Wingfield plays the part of Tomâs mother and fits the description of Williamsâ mother. Mr. Wingfield, although absent in the play, has a great presence. In The Glass Menagerie, Mr. Wingfield was a telephone salesman who âfell in love with long distances.â Cornelius Williams, in reality as well, was hardly around as he was a traveling salesman. When he was around, he was typically abusive. The narrator and character Tom Wingfield is almost a mirror image of Williams in terms of personal strife. In the play, Mr. Wingfield has forced Tom to work in a shoe factory, where he secretly writes poetry. In real life, Cornelius Williams took Tennessee out of college to work at a shoe factory.

Chopin wrote with similar themes, using much of her lifeâs experiences. In her short story, The Storm, Calixta is somewhat of a worrier. But when an old lover comes on horseback, she almost immediately give off a youthful persona. When Chopinâs husband died in real life, she was left to run the store, where she flirted nonstop and even had an adulterous affair with a married farmer.

Unlike Williams, much of Chopinâs writing had a lot of Creole influence. She was also a very big fan of Guy de Maupassant. Scholars say that her short story, Desireeâs Baby, was based completely around De Maupassantâs The Story of a Farm Girl. One aspect of De Maupassantâs writing that one can easily find in Chopinâs writing are the ironic conclusions. Desireeâs Baby has heavy Creole, shown by Armandâs anger and shame towards the skin color of the baby. Although Armand was the one who was part black, he wouldnât bring himself to believing it, and made Desiree leave. Desiree proceeds to kill herself and her baby by walking into a bayou and never returning.

In conclusion, Kate Chopin and Tennessee Williams write using the same process for ideas. They both turn to reality for inspiration. Yet, their writings styles and influences are quite different.

Mr. Berdennikov (Russian Federation) Welcome the decision of Chad and Mozambique to conclude safeguards agreements and additional protocols with the Agency, and the decision of Cote dâIvoire to conclude an additional protocol. 52. The Russian Federation supports the strengthening of the Agencyâs verification activities, in particular by extending the application of safeguards agreements and additional protocols, and it is in favour of the universal application of the additional protocol. Thus, on 2 October 2007, President Putin have signed a Federal law on the ratification of the Russian Federationâs additional protocol and, on 16 October 2007, that document have entered into force. He calls on all States party to the NPT which have not yet done so to fulfil their obligations under the NPT and conclude comprehensive safeguards agreements with the International Atomic Energy Agency, and urge them to conclude and bring into force additional protocols. 77. Mr. Berdennikov (Russian Federation) My country have been following Agencyâs monitoring of nuclear facilities in the DPRK pursuant to the initial actions agreement of February 2007 and felt that, for the Agencyâs inspectors to perform their function effectively, appropriate coordination was needed between the Agency and the six-party talks process. 78. I stress the importance of the recently agreed second-phase actions for the implementation of the September 2005 Joint Statement. Work appeared to have commenced on disabling the three nuclear facilities in Yongbyon and was expected to be complete by 31 December 2007. It is also expected that the DPRK will provide a complete and accurate declaration f all its nuclear programmes by the same date. I stress the importance of compliance with safety requirements in that connection. As the international body with the authority to conduct unbiased, reliable and trustworthy verification of the peaceful nature of the nuclear activities of States, the Agency will, of necessity, play an increasing role in the resolution of the Korean nuclear issue. 22. Mr. Hoxha (Albania) Our country has got full confidence in the Agencyâs handling of the Iranian nuclear issue and supports its efforts to resolve it. 23. The Director Generalâs report clearly demonstrated how right the international community have been to treat Iranâs nuclear programme very seriously. Once past nuclear activities have been clarified, Iran must continue to build confidence about the scope and nature of its currentnuclear activities. 24. While resolving outstanding issues on the scope and nature of Iranâs past nuclear activities is a major step towards reaching a politically negotiated solution, further steps are needed, including ratification and implementation for the additional protocol, as call for by the Security Council and the Board of Governors. 25. The Security Council had twice unanimously called on Iran to suspend sensitive nuclear activities, such as its enrichment activities and the building of a heavy water reactor. It is regrettable that the Director General has to conclude again that those demands had not met. Albania is seriously concerned that, contrary to the decisions of the Security Council, Iran had not suspended its enrichment related activities, and that it have continued with the operation of the Pilot Fuel Enrichment Plant and with the construction and operation of the Fuel Enrichment Plant. A halt in sensitive activities would greatly facilitate ongoing diplomatic efforts. 26.As stated in paragraph 43 of the Director Generalâs report, confidence in the exclusively peaceful nature of Iranâs nuclear programme required that the Agency be able to provide assurances not only regarding declared nuclear material but, equally importantly, regarding the absence of undeclared nuclear material and activities, through the implementation of the additional protocol and transparency measures. Like other delegations, Albania urged Iran to implement fully the provisions of its comprehensive safeguards agreement, to ratify and implement the additional protocol and to provide the Agency with all the information and cooperation it requested. 27. We urge Iran to respond to the long-standing requests related to the scope and history of its enrichments programme in a comprehensive and transparent manner so that the work plan could be implemented in full and without delay, providings answers to the secretariatâs questions on all the outstandings issues. 28. Iran must now live up to the requirements of the international community. It should offer full, unreserved transparent and continued proactive cooperation to convince the world of the exclusively peaceful nature of its nuclear programme. Thank you, Madame chair
