I doubt whether datestamp can be used as a word. In fact, datestamp is a wrong spelling. The correct word is date-stamp.

My take:
Please stamp every clip with date so that the user knows when the clips are posted.

Dear Howard Leigh Ph.D., If we are going to get into silly mudslinging battles over the word "often" and claiming illigitimacy of posts due to lack of name, qualifications, and misspellings then I suggest that you start with the very word misspelling which contains two of the letter "s". That is, of course, unless you intended to say that the previous poster pelled something incorrectly, but unfortunately I am not the beholder of a Ph.D. and therefore pell as a verb is not in my vocabulary, nor is it in my trusty old Webster's. Again if we follow your rules that misspellings invalidate a post let us return again to your second sentence where you used the contraction for "You are" when I believe you meant to use the posessive form "your", unless you intended to write "yore" and refer to some other ancient post that you believe to be unreliable. Also I should further point out to you that when you spelled "hat" at the beginning of your last paragraph, your word choice does probably contain a "w" at the beginning to make the word "what." But alas, you have a Ph.D. (in some field that you did not mention - grounds for an unreliable post perhaps?) so you were surely aware of these slight misspellings before criticizing those of others. As for me, I happen to pronounce "often" without the "t" because that is how I learned it, but also to keep with pronunciation schemes words like soft - soften, haste - hasten, chaste - chasten, and also hustle, bustle etc. It does make me cringe a little inside when I hear "often" pronounced with the "t," but if, as several have suggested, this pronunciation has resurged as a result of better and broader education and literacy throughout the world, then I believe that coping with the occasional pronunciation with a "t" is something I dearsay I would be happy to accept as a consequence. I apologize for the somewhat pomptuous (yes, with a silent t - props to that comment by the way) nature of this post, but we all should know that advice we receive from the internet on forum websites should be taken with a grain of salt and misspellings and typos are a reality of the high speed electronic age. I realise you may never read this but I'll post it just the same. Not all European languages are related. My native language, Finnish, isn't even an Indo-European language. It is related to Estonian and Hungarian but not to such Germanic languages as English, German, Danish, Swedish, Dutch and so on.

One reason many Finns have at least a working knowledge of English probably results from teachers of foreign languages having a very good education in the languages they teach and the teaching methods. The methods are extremely important. All language teachers are university graduates with 4 to 7 years of university studies behind them. As for English, everybody has studied it at school before entering a university, which is also an advantage. Also, the universities select the very best candidates from English-speaking countries to do the teaching. The professors are Finnish, though, and there are some Finnish lecturers as well.

I am mentioning this because I have noticed on my travels that quite a few people who tell me they are teachers of English have a rather fragmentary command of the language themselves. If a teacher doesn't know the language, he can't teach it. In many cases the student isn't at fault at all. There are amazingly incompetent teachers of languages in many countries. Some of the posters who claim to be teachers of English on these forums wouldn't pass the qualifying exams for would-be teachers at Finnish universities.

I have never mastered English. I have a fairly good knowledge of the grammar but my vocabulary could be much larger. Learning languages has always been easy for me; that is, learning the languages I have attempted to learn. I am not so sure how quickly I would learn Japanese or Thai, for instance. English spelling causes me the most problems. And of course any words and idioms I am not familiar with.

I am having great interest in treating disabled patients from my studentship. One of my friends in schooldays was a handicapped person. Thank you for making me actually think about some of the idioms we take for granted.
The meaning is the same as saying, The rumour is..." (Rumor is the American spelling, rumour is the British spelling) - and that is what people 'hear' when someone uses those words, rather than the individual words, especially the "it" part.
It actually comes from the expression "to have it", meaning "how one has understood something, grasped the meaning of something" but implying there is some doubt as to whether one is correct, as there may be different ways of looking at some situation. So, I might say: "Well, (as I understand the situation you are in from what you have told me)= (as I have it), you can either do (this) or (that). That's my opinion, (but someone else may see things differently.)"
So, in the idiom "rumour has it" from "to have it" ( I have, it has, you have, he/she has, they have) the "has it" would then literally mean, "rumour is of the opinion that she will marry soon (but until they actually announce the date we can't really be sure.)"

Can anyone help me check for some grammatical errors in this. Also, this form of writing is required for me to put into essay format, so if you have any common thesis/intro for me, feel free to bring them up.

1) The theme of the story is about how a nurse can provide palliative care for patients who are suffering from deadly diseases, this provide a trustworthy atmosphere. The process is done by providing mental and physical care to the patient who acquire these ailments which can intervene with the illness and as a result can extend the time of the patient death. The interference is proceeded by the caring side of Nursing that can alter the psychological aspect of the client which may cause mental and physical pain relief to the client. The story âA Good Deathâ introduces Carolyn Adams as a palliative nurse who works at Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal. As a Nurse, she provide medication and care to her clients in a concept in which the patient have become accustomed to. She is not only a care giver, but a coordinator who set priorities to the patients by managing their time from family visit to medication. Parts of the aspect of caring she works is bathing, massaging, feeding and even talking to the patients.

2) This theme accommodate the student nurse with ideas of what he/she expect when entering the nursing field. In other words, the Nursing approach is not only towards the technical side, rather it incorporates the caring and coordinating aspect in which the student must understand. In addition, as a student nurse, the theme also teaches the student not only the expectation he/she comprehend towards becoming a nurse, rather, its also about the expectations from the health care system and most importantly from the patients towards the nurse. For example, in the story, Adams says âBathing and massaging are also intimate that they often get patient talkingâ. This explain that even though Adams have the nursing education and experience, but she still lacks the fundamentals of dealing with each patient, in other word, every patient is a separated experience from the other, sense each constitute different behavior than another.

3) Professional Experience: âA lot comes out. You learn a lot during bathing time, and the more your learn the better care you can provideâ
Ethics: â A patient may want a bath and a massage for pain relief. Adams will do that herselfâ
Aesthetics: â Touch is so important, when they feel my hands, they know I careâ
Empirics: â A regular part of the nurses routine is distributing pain medication on schedule, and monitoring patients who need treatment for breakthrough pain. The only physical pain that remains difficult to control is neuropathicâ

4) What Adams understand as a nurse influence her actions in a way that she comprehend the fact that she is in a palliative care facility. As a result, she is precautious with her attitudes, and even actions towards the patient, using her nursing knowledge, she was able to manifest better performance that are based on the theoretical understand of nursing throughout treating the patient. For example, in the story, Adams is always careful with how she give bathing and massaging to the patient or it will change the reaction of some patients towards her. However, throughout her experience she knows how to overcome these obstacle by learning from the patients reaction. The part of learning from experience is essential in the Nursing field, and it is required for the nurses acceptance from the patients.
5) The article âNurse-patient relationships in palliative careâ is a qualitative research data that supports the theme of the story. The research data was collected to manifest the relationship between nurses and patients. It included 10 patients and 10 nurses. The research concluded that â Major categories are formed as a result that are similar to the theme; Trust worth relationship, and enriched experiences. Trustworthy relationship is a unique aspect that is formed when nurses provide patients with what they need. Similarly, In the story, Adams included that â Nurses ensure that Patients are able to tell their family members and friends what they want toâ. This relationship is also formed when nurses manifest not only caring behavior but caring actions towards the patients. In the story, Adams described the action of hand touching as a way the patient comprehend the caring nurse.() In addition, some of the behavioral aspect of caring in the story show Adams as a nurse who do not rush to leave her job, instead, she set down with the patients and talk to them to ensure them get over a good day.
