I used these answers in my module 8 and the tutor failed me! I was kicked out of the course even though I am almost done. How was I supposed to know that I am not allowed to copy and paste? Why do they expect me do it myself? It is not fair that I can't use these answers! She mentioned something about the terms and conditions of the course and plagiarism, but so what! Now I lost all that time and money.

Looking for Teaching positions in Auckland

I will be back to Auckland in October. Other countries, especially in Asia/China will recruit you to teach and train you at the same time.

Re: Tefl module 9

why don't you play first letter last letter, steak..key yogurt--etc

Many people who take the CELTA course talk of it as being the hardest 4 weeks of their academic life! In my opinion, the course is the top level teacher training course and is quite simply not for beginners.

I always recommend that before anyone can consider taking the course they should have at least 2 solid years experience behind them teaching English and a thorough grounding in English grammar and teaching methods.

Nonsense. I have no teaching experience whatsoever and I got a B pass (that's good). I recently had to prepare a lesson on "Talk, speak, say, or tell" for one of my TEFL classes, because my non-native Engish speaking students were heartily confused by the choice. I admit that I had to put a lot of thought into the preparation, because this is one of those points that seems simple until you have to define it.
This is an extract from my lesson on the difference between "talk" and "speak", although as I always find myself saying, "there are exceptions":

“Speak” is used to mean the mechanical act of forming words from sounds: using the teeth, tongue, palate, and lungs to make words, but not necessarily sense. “Talk” however is much more about using those words to...

Teaching English in Vietnam

Hi,

Recently visited Vietnam and fell in love with it. I start a new job in the UK in mid-September and am interested in coming out to Vietnam for 4 or 5 weeks to teach English.

I have no TEFL qualification or teaching experience but am very good with people and am a fun person. I have a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering with Management from the University of Edinburgh, UK and am a native speaker of English.

Hoi An is my favourite place in Vietnam and I would like a teaching position in (or near) Hoi An, Da Nang, etc. and ideally would teach adults or university students.

Can anyone help?
