In Tenses^x, Simple present^x

Hi,A and D seem ambiguous to me. Does 'present' refer to 'present perfect' or to 'simple present', which is often called just 'present (tense)'? Clive

None of these strike me as entirely natural sounding. I would say (should I ever find myself in such a situation) "I wasn't invited, but I came anyway."Of the three given choices the second one is closest to sounding like what a native speaker would likely say.
