It's not clear if X actually created the advertising campagns, wrote the leaflets and brochures, etc., or if she coordinated their delivery. It's a big difference, but I can't tell from your description.

To whom it may concern: There is a lot of discussion about the use of this phrase. Grammatically it's correct, but some advocate for Dear Sir or Madam:

X.Y. has been with our company's marketing department for a year, working as a paid intern as a Brand Manager trainee, under my direct management. I enthusiastically recommend her to postgraduate Mass Communications programme at the University of Leicester.

[Company name] is one of the largest producers of medical equipment and hygiene products in the Czech Republic. X has worked on advertising campaigns and the creation of marketing materials, including leaflets and product brochures. Her skills and understanding of our business was such that I placed her in charge of developing some of our new product launch packets. She has repeatedly demonstrated both her creativity and her sense of responsiblity. Her studies have enabled her to offer very useful tips and on-point recommendations concerning our media activities. As just one example, her rating analysis of radio stations helped us in our selection of the right station and advertising time slot to reach our target audiences.

X has put into practice the theory she had learned about research methods, preparing surveys and questionnaires for our customer briefs. I'm not sure what a customer brief is. Her most recently research project was our regional "mystery shopper," focusing on pharmacies. X created the questionnaires for our mystery shopping agents and analysis of the data obtained, and also provided administrative support for the whole project.

I'm confident that X’s tenure at our company has been extremely beneficial to both parties. She is a valued asset to our company. We will be sorry to see her move on and continue her studies. I'm also confident in her future success, both in business and academically in your programme.

If you have any questions concerning my recommendation or require further information on X’s work performance, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Best regards, There has also been a lot of comment about closings in letters. As an American, I use "sincerely" for everything, but I think that "Yours truly," is correct in this case. You'll want to confirm that though!

Ing. A.B.

X is lucky that she had a great manager in her internship and should be very happy with this letter.

Letter of recommendation check

Hi everybody,

this is my first letter of recommendation. As I'm not a native speaker I would be really glad if somebody could help me with proofreading and general correction...

Thanx!

To whom it
may concern:

X.Y. has
been with our companies marketing department for a year. X.Y is one of the
largest producers of medical equipment and hygiene products in the Czech Republic. X is taking part in a paid
internship program as a Brand Manager trainee. As her manager she is directly
accountable to me.

X is
responsible for provisions to advertising campaigns and management of promotional
materials such as leaflets and product brochures. She was also in charge of developing
and capitalizing for some of our new product launch packs. During her work she
proved to be creative and responsible. Her field of study has empowered her to
offer very useful tips and recommendations concerning our media activities. For
example her rating analysis of radio stations has helped us to choose right
station and time to reach our target group with advertisements.

Practical
theory development within research methods has enabled X to comprehensively prepare
surveys and questionnaires for our customer briefs. Last research task X was involved
in was our regional mystery shopping project focused on pharmacies. X
responsibilities were creating the questionnaires for our mystery shopping
agents, general administrative support for the whole project and final
processing of the obtained data.

As I’ve
outlined above X’s stay within our company has been extremely beneficial to
both parties. She is a valued asset to our company. Although we would be sorry
to see her go I realize X is a very ambitious young lady and therefore I
understand her intentions to carry on with her studies. I wish her all the best
in her future endeavours and recommend her with no hesitation for your postgraduate
Mass Communications programme at the University
of Leicester.

If you have any questions concerning my recommendation or
require further information on X’s work performance, please don’t
hesitate to contact me.

Best
regards,

To whom it may concern:

I would like to recommend *** as a candidate for a Masters programme in YYYY at the University of ZZZZ that she is applying for.

Having shown excellent skills during the six-month period of volunteering here in «OOOO», my private practice for speech and language therapy while she was preparing her master's thesis, she was offered a job right after finishing her studies. Since (month, year) she is working as a therapist in the field of prevention, diagnostics and treatment of various communication disorders. Since the very beginning in this position she has shown great motivation towards reading and writing difficulties, not just in the field of treatment of those, but also in the field of prevention of such difficulties. As she has excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to approach every child in both, sensible and emphatic way, she was very successful in raising children's motivation for reading, and for literature in general . Being very organized and ambitious, she was an asset to the office as both, an independent therapist and as a part of a team of specialists (psychologists, teachers, pedagogists).

*** was always motivated and interesting in learning in order to improve her knowledge in the field of reading and literacy, so I highly recommend her to anyone who will consider her application for further education.

I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for my student,
Mr XYZ who wishes to pursue graduate studies at your
institution. I have known him for more than three years as a student of
the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering and have
been impressed by his zest for knowledge.

I taught him in the courses “Computer Control of Processes” and
“Digital Signal Processing” and found him to be a gifted student. He had a quick grasp of the material and took part actively in classroom discussions. He went beyond the required
coursework to enrich himself. I have seen him
improve steadily over the years as a student, always striving to excel. He is always eager to learn and correct himself; he accepts authority and is, above all, humble.

He is a very responsible and diligent student, with sufficient
motivation to excel in his chosen field. He has a keen urge to understand practical engineering concepts beyond the theoretical, reflecting his potential for research. Besides academics, he has an avid interest in computers and environmental concerns. His good
general knowledge and analytical skills are noteworthy. He can express
himself fluently in English and communicates very well with people.

I strongly believe that he will make a name for himself in your
institution, and I strongly recommend him for the graduate
program with full financial assistance and wish him all the best in
his future endeavors.

2.

I am glad to write this letter of recommendation for XYZ, a graduate
student in the Department of Electronics & Instrumentation
Engineering. I lectured in his course on Basic Civil Engineering, so I have had ample
opportunity to assess his abilities.

XYZ has had a good academic record throughout the course and is an
excellent student, showing good analytical skills. Whilst
assessing his class submissions on Environmental Studies, I observed that he had a propensity for in-depth analysis, a good understanding of the subject, and a full engagement of his intellectual faculties.
He is systematic and organized at work and has shown a predilection for research.

In my considered opinion, XYZ is a well-qualified and deserving
candidate for advanced study. Accordingly, I strongly recommend him for
graduate studies at the university of his choice with full financial
assistance.

He is systematic and organized at work. He has shown a more than reasonable attitude for research ability.

In my considered opinion, XYZ is a well qualified and deserving candidate for higher studies.
Dear Sir, Madam,

With this letter, I would like to apply for the Bacelor’s Programme in Economics and Business. I’m very interested in this programme with the University *** and I believe that my knowledge and motivation are appropriate for this bachelor’s degree.

I am in the last form of my A-levels at the *** College here in ***. I am doing Economics and Society with the elective subjects Mathematics B1, French, German and Management and Organisation. I have always maintained an excellent grade average and I feel that I am a high achiever with outstanding study and performance habits. In addition to my academic activities, last I have had the chance to be a member of our school’s team for the international debating challenge for colleges, ‘Op weg naar het lagerhuis’, which I hope to continue this year. I have got also the pleasure to be the editor of our school magazine, named ‘WEPS’.

During my high school period I gained interest in the field of the economics. I like to calculate with numbers, to work with statistics and to figure out economic progresses of a nation or a single company. Last year I developed a programme in in Microsoft Excel, which can calculate your income out of all the three boxes after tax. This time I am doing my exam project about pension insurances and I want to create a system which can put in the picture what the monthly insurance premium has to be for particular given data. Moreover my family’s origin is from ***, a country which is also becoming an economic and business tycoon. This made my interest rise in it even more.

I would like to get involved in it professionally. I want to be positioned to help companies with various aspects of the issue that so many organisations are facing and to try to generate solutions to complex problems. Also I would like to go to abroad with my acquaintance and experiences. I hope the foreign languages I am learning and the many international contacts my family has, will help a lot in it.

In order to achieve my desires and ambitions I consider obtaining the Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business will provide me the necessary background and skills to enable me to anticipate and react in the right way to economic operations. The bachelor programme would be an extremely valuable learning experience for me and also an opportunity to carry my passion in life further.

I hope that I will be accepted as an applicant and I will appreciate the opportunity to enlighten my excitement for this programme with you in person. I am confident that I am qualified and prepared to meet all the requirements of the course. I would be grateful if you could give my application your most favourable consideration.

Please find enclosed a completed application form with two passport-sized photographs, copies of my official transcripts and diplomas, my curriculum vitae and a letter of recommendation as per the requirements of application. Kindly contact me if you require any further details or documents. I hope to hear from you in the near future.

Yours faithfully,
