I am responding to the job posting for a coordinator of the fashion department in â¦â¦School of Art. Since January 2008 I have worked as a professor and as co-coordinator at â¦schoolâs nameâ¦, a gratifying experience and an environment in which I've thrived. I want to continue being part of this creative, diverse team and would like to help expand the school. I see the future â¦schoolâs nameâ¦, as a pilot institution and a potential leader for European and international schools.

First, make sure the person you are addressing uses "Mme" and not another title. You might find the info on the woman's website or that of the School of Art. If you can't find the info there, call up her office and ask her secretary. You should also say what you are the co-coordinator and professor of. Your intent was unclear at times, which I have tried to remedy by rephrasing, rearranging and in some cases omitting what confused me. I used the word "job posting" but if this position is not part of the same school where you now work "advertisement" would probably be more accurate. If I am wrong and the school where you are applying is not affiliated with the one you are now at, please change the latter part of my edit to reflect your desire to move to another school. An expression, I suppose. An idiom is a phrase whose meaning cannot be inferred from the meanings of the words that compose it.

Hi,

I'm sorry, but I only have time for one comment.

Never start such a letter with To Whom It May Concern.

Do your best to find out the person's name. eg Is there an office you can call, to ask who is in charge of hiring?

If you can't do that, then start with Dear Sir or Madam.
