Do they have any special interpretations in contracts?
The reason that I ask is that I consider most bare plurals in common English to be ambiguous and ambiguity should be avoided in contracts.

irregular plurals retain their plural form from the language from which English adopted the word ... come from German. Consider yourself lucky. All nouns have irregular plurals in German!
