a prefix goes on the begining of a sentence like un-,dis-,pre, and in. if you took the word like and added the prefix un- , to ityou get unlike wich means you dont like something.

Actually "unlike" means not the same as, or dissimilar. "DISlike" means you don't like something.

Eg.responsible: Ir responsible

I think when people say such terms are prefixes, they're specifically referring to the abbreviation itself. What I mean is that the "B" stands for Bits in MiB and KiB and Bytes in MB
