What I meant is, many nouns are pluralized by adding "s" or "es". Very few words, in comparison, are pluralized (love that word) with "i".

Anyone who says the english "r" doesn't use the tongue needs to get their facts straight. You couldn't MAKE the sound without your tongue... The only advice I can give is to try and find an english speaker or recordings...

I don't necessarily agree that you always pronounce the g. You always pronounce the "ng" sound, and then it's a matter of whether or not you add a "g" or "k" after it, depending on the word.
