Ya, what about the people in the south western?? We don't speak the 'common southern' accent, nor the slight british ish Illinois or those states, nor New york. I think the people in the south western ish area have the more 'neutral' american:

Lots of people who live in the south western US knows Spanish or it's their native language. And in most colleges here you have to have some years in a foreign language to have a better chance of getting in, but i think they meant Spanish. In

I agree with your whole post. It only makes since for someone from a country near England (who doesnt speak english) to learn british-english, for locational purposes. So with North America(maybe South) those who dont speak english will learn
