You're talking about 'superfetch' the preemptive cache, must say it's actually a great idea..However, Vista is a terrible example of an OS, and I'm not even going to say why. Look it up, or just use Vista to develop a large web app on a dual 2.4GHZ / 4GB laptop with 2x7200rpm...
