I would have left "saree" in the plural after many varieties... "Saree" is countable, isn't it? (Unless it's not what I think it is )

Mother : No dear, I didn't leave him, but he went off with his new girl friend.

The second is OK, but I don't think the first one is. I'd say something like "I think it can only drive for a few miles"
