Frankly, I have never heard anyone NOT pronounce the "g".
It's a "g" like the g and the st in "gesture", or similar to the spanish "ch" as in "chile".

Well, the number 0.999999999... doesn't actually exist. You can get 0.3333... by typing 1 divided by 3 into your calculator. But there is nothing that you can type in to get 0.99999...

take two thirds 2/3 which is 0.66666666666666666...
now take 3/3 which is logically 0.9999999999999999....
but you can make out of 3/3 the number 1, by dividing both
