Ummm ... is it OK if I smoke the vitamin C or the lemon juice? I like to smoke things. ... and I agree; the strange and controvercial medicine is the drug stuff that comes from smeely fuctrees. My friend's head was open to the outside world a few days ago. My friend had hit his head very hard on a doorway, and there was a big hole in his head. Luckily nothing fell out, except blood, and nobody tried to put anything in, either. I wish I had been there at that time. I have always wanted to try my hand at brain surgery. I suppose I will have to wait until he hits his head again.

It is from The Book of Tao, or The Way - an ancient collection of Chinese mystical Taoist poems and sayings by Lao Tsu. It is one of the oldest books known. It is interesting to consider that the philosophies of Lao Tsu and Confucius are often regarded as being quite opposed to one another. Lao Tsu's outlook could be described as fluid, whereas Confucius outlook could be described as rigid and authoritarian. There is even a legend that the two men once met, and that Lao Tsu dismissed Confucius extensive writings, telling him that all that was needed to understand or describe 'The Way' was a window. I think is is O.K. for Catholic people to eat sausages these days, but I'm not sure about hampsters and guinness pigs. However, in the very early days of the Catholic church, sausages were strictly banned. I think this was because they only had really really REALLY old sausages, and people got sick a lot ... just like Justine! I hope Justine's sickness doesn't cause sausages to be banned again.
