I honestly don't have a problem w/ your opinion, but were you by any chance mildly drunk when you made this thread? (we tend to say "greatest rapper alive" when we actually mean "greatest rapper that's still actively making music". That is the perspective that I am looking at this topic with) There has always been one or two MCs at any point in time that have been the arguable kings of their era of rap. There was the KRS-one era; the Rakim era; the BIG and 2Pac era, which ended abruptly in the midst of all its glory when the two of them were killed; and what was arguably the Jay-z and Nas era has recently come to its end. After reading way too many of these types of threads, it seems that the...

Re: What are the stupidest song lyrics?!

dang, there's so many of them... the one that pisses me off the most is in Linkin Park's "Numb": "I've become so numb, I can't feel you there I've become so tired, So much more aware" Ok that makes sense... you get MORE aware when you're numb and tired, and when you get more aware you can no longer feel that somebody is "there"........ ok no. Don't get me wrong, I like Linkin Park and Numb is a fairly good song, but they have some of the most simplistic, poorly thought-out lyrics I've ever heard.

Re: who's the greatest rapper of all times

I know you are probably just tryna piss people off, but i'm still going to try to point out how foolish your post was. "TUPAC IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE GREATEST RAPPER ALIVE" Yo home skillit, if you ever come back to read this, I thought you could use a little news report: Tupac has been dead since 1996. Lots of people say Pac was the greatest MC ever. Indeed, he was a great MC, but much of the reason many people refuse to believe there will ever be an (arguably) better MC is because he died while he was at the top of his game. Nobody has a memory of him ever being defeated because he didn't have time enough for that to happen. Because of this, we remember him in all his god-like glory, not the genius, yet flawed human being...

Re: I can't find these lyrics, can you help me?

http://display.lyrics.astraweb.com:2000/display.cgi?911..unknown..private_number http://www.lyricsfind.com/c/caught-in-the-act/unknown-album/wishing-you-were-here.php either of those what you were looking for?

Re: Lyrics of "yeah" (usher): a problem with the meaning of some expressions

(i'm half guessing for lots of these) keep it down on the low key = keep it secret, keep a low profile i'ma milk the cow = (i have no idea...) these women all on the prowl = all the women are looking for men bend over the the front, and touch your toes = literally bend down and touch your toes (i think...)

Re: I wish

Off the top of my head I think of "I Wish" by R. I like the type of rappers that have deep, meaningful lyrics that don't talk about partying and bling every other word, but Luda is the one exception because of his comedic style. wyclef: good, deep lyrics, especially in his fugee days KRS: one of the first rappers to use his raps to teach and send a positive message, and had the ability to use both rap and reggae styles in the same song. he would be higher on this list though, if it didn't always sound like he was shouting in his songs. andre: the king of originality in every way, including lyrically.
