He is seeking to have the court expunge his criminal record of a felony conviction in an effort to gain employment. Every attempt to gain employment has been thwarted by criminal background checks by potential employers. He served a term in jail and subsequent parole sucessfully with no further problems with the law. This person is trying to turn his life around and has done everything in his power to correct his wrong doings and remain a law abiding citizen. He is an educated, skilled, intelligent individual who is unable to obtain an unskilled job.
