First thing.For the formal letter,you need to to start with 'i want to state that' as it is mandatory in that place where she has to submit. Second thing,i think she is mature enough to write 'i' as 'I' when she will actually write a letter. Third thing is that,"PREVIOUSLY" is different from "IN THE BEGINNING." as PREVIOUSLY does not give us a idea about the actual timing,it just gives us the idea about the past thing so we don't know when thing took place in the past. and "IN THE BEGINNING" represents the actual timing when something started. so both were right as joint. Fourth thing is that, when you are changing something, to emphasise that thing you can add 'RATHER'...

BOTH ALL AND ANYONE CAN BE USED EITHER WITH SINGULAR VERB OR WITH PLURAL VERB. BUT MOST OF THE TIME IT IS CONSIDERED TO BE SINGULAR SO SINGULAR VERB IS USED FOR IT.

the whole sentence becomes quite confusing when you are not cleared about the number of things you are talking about. if you know that certain number of things were involved in doing something then you should use according to it otherwise it becomes confusing for the listener to interpret whether you are talking about singular object of plural object. so it is very important to have the full knowledge of number of object whom you are talking about.

"When " is used for certain point of time whereas "While" is used for representing the duration of the action. moreover, "When " is used in the second part of the sentence when first part of the sentence is finished. whereas "While" is used to describe something which was happening at the same time till other thing was happening.

Hello Mr. they are absolutely right according to the grammar. i will tell you how; these sentences are generally representing the duration of work which they will be engaged in. moreover in these types of sentences,more emphasize is given to the duration of the work in which person/people will be involved. and Regarding your second problem related to restaurant, i don't have any idea.

' on the back of ' is a idiom means 'as a result of an achievement or a success.' for example the profits growth came on the back of a 26 per cent rise in sales. but here in the above case the meaning of the 'on the back of' is at the other farther side (flat portion).

Hey Andrew, i am totally convinced to asma's advise. Having said that, i want to ad one more thing is that if possible try to make a friend circle to those who are good at english with whom you can speak and if you make any mistake while talking to them in english then they can point out your mistake thereby help you to understand exactly where are you making mistake. whenever possible try to speak internally while you are thinking because in this way you will always in touch with english as it is very important to be always in contact with your concerned problem only then you can solve your problem. just like if you go away from you weak point sooner or later it will haunt you and make you pay for it else you should try to...

these words are called 'the inseparable words' if they are to be used then they cannot be used separately that is why we always refer them as a inseparable words like scissors ,shears, pliers, trousers, sleeves. and the method of calling them is as follow- 1.Scissors are sharp.( plural verb) 2.A pair of scissors has been purchased.( when using 'a pair of ' then verb will be singular ) 3.
