About me

I'm from Blackpool in the North West of England, but have been working overseas for what seems like a lifetime! I worked for the British Council (BC) in Singapore and Thailand; and for International House (IH) in Egypt, Singapore and Moscow. I've been a communications skills trainer for Singapore Airlines and Singapore Pools. I gained an MA TESOL from Nottingham University in 2001. In 2002, I gained BC ICT Trainer Training Certificates, after attending ICT Exploitation courses at BC Hong Kong and BC Bangkok. In addition, I presented IELTS Skills, Culture Shock UK and Study Skills in the UK workshops for the BC at the 2003 EdFest held in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2004, I successfully completed an IH World Organisation Director Of Studies Certificate course held at IH London. I am also an Examiner for the University of Cambridge (ESOL Examinations), and have been since 1997. Currently I am in Suwon, South Korea.
