Here are some suggestions. There may be other correct answers as well.

Dear Tommy,

How are you? In your last letter, you said that you weren't doing well at school. If this is still

a problem, I think you (1)SHOULD DO the following things.

First, you (2)NEED TO GO to your parents. I didn't want to have a tutor when my parents

found that I was having problems with Mathematics last year. However, they decided that I
(3)SHOULD HAVE one. I ended up getting an 'A'.

Second, I think you (4)SHOULDN'T STUDY for tests at the last moment. I set a rule for myself

when it comes to studying. I tell myself that I (5)HAVE TO/MUST STUDY at least two hours every

Saturday revising what I've learnt duing the week. That way, I (6)DON'T HAVE TO STUDY for long

before each test.

I hope this advice helps. By the way, I've gained a lot of weight recently so I strongly feel
that I (7)SHOULD/HAVE TO DO something about it. I think I (8)NEED TO/SHOULD GO on a diet. What
do you think?

As a result, i am sorry that i should be challenging you...

I think a better answer should be (but i am not sure, so open for discussion)
