Could someone help me with the grammar in the following sentences?

1 If she were to kill the spider with a shoe, that would mean that she would havbe to get too close to it. She wants something that allows her to kill it at/from a distance like a broom which is long.

2 If you don't do what i say, everything will have been in vain; his death will have been in vain.

3 Drink the water as it melts, you'll likely drink all of it by the times the ice cube is melted/you'll be likely to drink it by the times it's melted.

4 The timeline of this movie is a little confusing as there is a storyline that takes place in the past and one in the future. We the audience don't knoww when and where one storyline is/takes place in relation to the other. Whether one is 3 years in the past in relation to the other or if its 3 years in the future in elation to the other.

Thanks

Which one is not weird, then?

1 If she were to kill the spider with a shoe, she would have to get too close to it. She wants something like a long broom, which allows her to kill it from a distance .

2 If you don't do what I say, all will have been in vain. His death will have been in vain.

3 Drink the water as the ice cube melts.

4 This movie is a little confusing, because there is one storyline in the past and another in the future. However, the audience doesn't know which is which.

Thank you mister micawber.

What I wanted to know for the las one was the "in relation" part

We the audience don't know when and where one storyline is/takes place in relation to the other. Whether one is 3 years in the past in relation to the other or if its 3 years in the future in relation to the other.

can you tell me how to say the bold bit without taking out IN RELATION?
There is no good way of doing so. As I said before, your sentences are rambling examples of spoken English, and I refuse to fiddle about with them in an effort to make them work.
If it was in spoken english, could I use INRELATION that way

We the audience don't knoww when and where one storyline is/takes place in relation to the other. Whether one is 3 years in the past in relation to the other or if its 3 years in the future in elation to the other.

and would it be "the storyline is/takes place in relation to"

thanks
