Does this sentence not make sense

I remember there having something to do with a shark at one point.

thank you
'So as' is very awkward and your shark sentence is extremely unfocussed. There is no point in writing in English if you pay no attention to style.
what do you mean, pay attention to style?

so both shark sentences are akward?

  • I rememember there being a shark in the water at one point during the movie
I remember there having to do something with sharks at one point in the movie (how would you say that correctly?)

thanks
