A compare/contrast essay could be written in third person?
thanks you
What are you comparing and contrasting?

Unless you are comparing yourself with somebody else (or something along those lines), third person is fine.

Just my 2 cents.

It's up to you. Do you want this to personal? Do you want to say what you see from your perspective? If so, use the first person.

I am writing a compare and contrast essay on two types of love, words and quality time. Should I use first, second, or third person?

Generally speaking, all essays should be written in the third person, unless the prompt (ie the title) specifically asks you for your personal views.
