The modern life style created a situation in which people eat at least one meal out side while most of them are looking for fast food known as "junk food", that its advantages are his price and the fact that people don't have to wait a long time for the meal to be served. The main concept of modern world is "time is money" that's why they prefer to work more on account of their brake time. There are some people that do have time but still prefer eating "junk food" and the reasons for that are the effort and time to go the supermarket and choosing groceries. While their other consideration that nowadays we have deliveries that enable us to save time and effort and still enjoy a good mill. That’s way "junk food" is their available food in their daily life.

For example in the United States of America people with low income are unable to buy nutrition food since the price is too high, hence they prefer to buy "junk food". In a survey of the Israeli health department, one of the finding was that Israeli people, as in , are too fat and lacking of sport activities in spit of the fact that in the nutrition food costs less.

The damages of "fast food" are known but are we refer it any consideration or only when we damaged by it we take it seriously?

There are some people that even after getting abnormal medical exams and doctor's warning, they still prefer to "turn a blind eye" and continue their usual life style enjoying "fast food". Nevertheless there are some people that know the implications of "junk food" and don't give it any consideration but after receiving the abnormal medical exams, they will take it seriously and will change their lifestyle. I can include my self as one of them.

Every tow years I tend to do a routine medical exam while my last results showed a high fat percent in my blood and high cholesterol. My doctor explained me the risks with those findings telling me I would have to change my life style. Additionally the doctor explained me that the reasons for my abnormal results caused by genetics and by eating high fat food such as "junk food". Its scared me very much knowing I am only 24 years old having high fat percentage in my blood and high cholesterol level considering I am not suffering from overweight problems.

Until that day the "fast food" was my preferred food especially when I began studding and had to work and didn't have the time to make my self a proper diner or go shopping. In the evenings when I got back from school or work, it was more convenient to buy a slice of pizza or a hamburger than making my self a healthy meal. Those shortcuts brought me to my present condition, I can say that I enjoyed my mils in the past, but now I have to "pay" for it.

My family doctor turned me to dietitian. She recommended me a strict diet and exercise every two days for at least forty minutes. As a result of my dietitian's strict diet and exercise I have succeed to balance my fat percentage and cholesterol. Since then my life is different; I now know how to combine my studies, job and knew life style. I believe that work and study are meant to improve our life in the future, but if we won't protect ourselves we will be too sick to enjoy it.

Even though my last blood results came out normal it doesn’t mean that I can eat as I used to. For the rest of my life I will have to follow my diet and to watch my health. On the other hand there are also positive sides to my life changes other then my medical exams. Taking my health seriously I decided to stop smoking. Today I feel healthy I have more energy and I can exercise without getting tired easily. Furthermore, before the diet I had mood swings and impatience without knowing why while today I am more relaxed and easygoing.

When I told my friend about my situation they didn't understand why I took the blood tests saying that only older people do these things. I told them that because of the way we live our life and chasing time, we hardly stop to think about our body and the least we can do is to watch our health. Some people think because I am thin my health is well and I can eat anything I want, but there are some things that we can't see.

People should know that without any connection to their age or weight they should watch their health and do regular checkups. Receiving abnormal test result can be stressful but we can also look on the positive aspects. Sometimes when we get a bad news we pity ourselves; but there are others who look at things different, in a positive way, like me. Today I feel better and healthy then ever, believing that a good nutrition and exercise are the formula for long and good health
