Build me a son whose wishbone will not be where his backbone should be; a son who will know Thee--and that to know himself is the foundation stone of knowledge.

The above is anexcerpt from General MacArthur's prayer for his son.
I find the structure of the underlined part hard to understand. Could you analyze it? Thanks.

who will know Thee - will know God (be religious)

to know himself is the foundation stone of knowledge - you can't acquire knowledge or act wisely until you understand what sort of person you are.

Thanks, nona, for the explanation.

But I mean how to analyse the pattern of the underlined part.
