Dictionarium is a set of tools working as auxiliary in dictionaries compiling which has been developed within at the NILC - Núcleo Interinstitucional de Lingüística Computacional of the Universidade de Sao Paulo. The intention behind the present set of programmes is to put at the disposal of the interested user the tools he or she would require in order to process linguistically relevant data, given the chance to the user create and search its own online corpus.

Evidently, the author will still need to do some things, just as adding the definitions of each meaning giving them your personal touch. Dictionarium intends, however, to give to the author of dictionaries many of the tools that are him/her useful and, in certain cases, indispensable to your lexicographical labor. The first 'mission' or the lexicographer's 'task' will be to add registrations to the database. Short-term and medium-term these registrations will feed the micro and macroestructure of your dictionary. Believe! The first work to be elaborated is a bilingual dictionary Castilian-Portuguese, in whose structure I am working there is a long time. Contributions in Castilian are well comings.

What it Do

Dictionarium allows the direct access to the web, allowing the user to select the material that he wants to incorporate into your corpus. It makes wordlists (by alphabetical or frequency order), concordances from Corpus Database set up by a user or texts on the fly. Also, provides very flexible search, selection, sorting criteria and statistics on your inputted text. At the present time the Dictionarium Net version must be used for building databases, collocations, wordlists from texts in English, Spanish and Portuguese; Check Spelling in English, Spanish and Portuguese and conjugator of verbs in Spanish. These are the basic tools of the project. More tools will be added soon. Dictionarium possesses two types of tools. The tools that are applicable to texts resulting in a list of words (ordinates, lemmatized (soon), hyphenated (soon), by frequency, in form of concordances. The other tools, called core tools, are those that will work with databases and from which in the present time, there are the database Kwic and Kwoc.

The existence of two types of tools has different objectives and they are gone back to objectives and different users. The tools originated from PersistentData will serve those that want create dictionaries and that will work with the lexicon of the language or specialized vocabulary. From another side, TransientData were made for those that are looking for lists of words or placements starting from short texts and where the objective is the vocabulary, usually of a text, fragment of a text or a Webpage.
Soon will be added other core tools that will support the creation of dictionaries. In this way short-term the core tools for creating a bilingual dictionary Castilian-Portuguese will be available. Other core tools will be added latter and consequently other dictionaries will can be generated.

I would appreciate your help.

Thank you in advance.

Can I put this text on the web, in my web page, no fear?

Leblon Letchev
It's a hard read because of the sentence structure you have. Thre are run-on sentences. I am not really good at editing stuff, but I'll give it a shot and see what others can come up with.
Actually I won't give it a shot because I am not sure how the Dictionarium works, and I might misinterpret what you are trying to say in your post.
Students: We have free audio pronunciation exercises.
Lebron - There are quite a few mistakes, you'll need to simplify your writing. I suggest using shorter, less complicated sentences.
