Hi,

As far as I know the following sample sentences are correct English (aren't they?)

(1) You need to take the number 13 bus.

(2) You need to take bus number 13.

In my country some bus routes have alphabetic (e.g. "bus route C" ) or alphanumeric (e.g., "bus route 13A") designation.

If you could explain how I shall refer to such bus routes in English (i.e. what changes need to be made to (1) and (2) in that case?)

Hope my question makes sense.

You need to take bus number 13A.
You need to take the 13A bus.
You need to take bus C.

If it's already understood that the topic is bus routes, just say something like "Take the 13A".
