Hi all,

some one please clear my doubt,

i know third person singular should be accompanied with 's'. but in the below examples i found a difference.

1.she doesn't speak well--why 's' is missing with speak, when the sentence she does speaks well is followed with 's' after speak.

2. the monkey resembles his dad,,, then why in the question whom does the monkey remeble? why s is missing at the back of resemble..

3.also !!! does this bus goes to station? / is this goes to staion? whats the difference between this two question if any.

4.when will the bus start from here? or when will the bus starts from here?

thanks in advance friends...

u2candotshe doesn't speak well
The s is sometimes transferred to another word. You can only have one s ending per clause.

See Have or has

She doesn't speak well. The s is on the auxiliary.

Whom does the monkey resemble? The s is on the auxiliary.

Does this bus go to the station? The s is on the auxiliary.

When will the bus start? When used with a modal verb (will, would, can, could, shall, should, may, might, must), the s is omitted.

1.Do you ever had a good day? Wrong. The d-marker goes on the first verb.
2.Did you ever have a good day? Correct. It means 'in the past'.
3.Do you ever have a good day? Correct. It means 'now'.
4.Did you ever had a good day? Wrong. Two d-markers.

Capitalize the first letter of each sentence.

You have a lot of problems with capitalization and spelling. Try to clear that up. Here is the better way to write your sentence:

Your English grammar deserves to be praised.

u2candot2.files in the link develop or develop's unwanted symbol. pls help cj.please explain .
I don't understand what you are trying to say. Maybe this:

Files in the link contain unwanted symbols.

“correct me if i am wrong: Practice capitalization

Where does all these letters come from? why in this question does is being used even when the subject is plural(all letters)pls explain..also let me know where 'all' will take singular form and where it will take plural form...”
You question is correct. All these letters - singal for plural verb agreement. Since "do" is a helping word", it also has to adhere to the verb agreement rule. Therefore, the proper and correct word is " do..". The author of the sentence was incorrect.

Hi cj , pls verify the above answer given by a person in EnglishForward, cuz i believe your answer than any one else..thank you...

Also i have few more questions which only you can give a correct solution.

1. if my brother comes up and stay or stays with me in uk...correct it cj..can we use two verbs ending with 's' in a single sentence.

2. does anyone executed the files or execute? pls explain.. does can only be joined with a present tense or even it can joined with past events..

thanking you..-by your friend..
Where does all these letters come from?

The answer you received was correct. The sentence above is wrong.

It should be Where do all these letters come from? The agreement is between do and letters. all these letters is a unit, and it is plural.

_____________

I am sure that many, many others can give correct answers to your questions.

1. You can use two verbs ending in s if they are joined by and. Yes.

He comes and stays with me. / She toasts the bread and eats it.

2. does can only be used with present events. You must change to did for past events.

Does anyone execute this file? (regularly in the present)

Did anyone execute this file? (once in the past)
