How do you describe a very small house or a small room which isn't spacious enough? Could someone please give me an informal and formal word to describe it to a friend and a land lord? Thanks.

fatimah0786a very small house or a small room which isn't spacious enough?
The [house / room] is [tiny / cramped / too small].

We're cramped for space in this [house / room].
There's no room to turn around in this [house / room].
There's not enough room to swing a cat in this [house / room].
We're packed in like sardines in this [house / room].
Living here is like living in a prison cell.

Formal: It isn't spacious enough. (Just as you wrote it above.)

Thanks for taking the time to answer the question. Is the formal word used very often in formal written/verbal complaints, the word seems a bit jargony?

It's often used ironically.
