Hello T

I would say so, yes: you are likening reactions to stress to the reliability of timepieces.

Your figures are also similes.

I'm new to this site, so forgive me if I an in the wrong forum, or not posting properly!

If I was to say, " You am like a finely tuned Swiss watch, while people, in general, are like Timex watches." You tend to break under stress while they "take a lickin and keep on ticken". Is this an analogy?
