Hello,

I have several questions.

1) the boat was docked (does it mean tied on the dock or anchored on the dock, or?)

2) Sara had arguably left her soul laid out on his bathroom sink, and he had not even had the decency to call her,(can you gove me a synonym for the blue word?)

3) Can gang banger be not only a member of group raping but also a member of a gang?

4) mother says to her daughter that she was a little ''hellion'' when she was little (What does that mean?devil?)

Thank you

"Arguably" – "It might have been argued that..."

MrP

(PS: I didn't know gangbanger had non-group-rape connotations. Interesting.)

Tied to the dock, not on the dock.

Yes - it's slang for a member of a gang.

hell-raiser, independent, hard to manage ...

I may be wide of the mark here Mr P, but I thought there was a slight difference in meanings either side of the Atlantic:

In BrE, a "gang-bang" means group sex (not always rape)

In AmE it is usually used in reference to gang violence

I'm sure both meanings would be understood in both countries however.

This is my understanding, but please correct me if I am wrong!

No, that's ok, LL – I just didn't realize it had other meanings!
