Hi Miss_muslima,
I heard that Muslims require a certificate, called "lahah" or something like that, to be sure that animals are killed after a prayer. Is it true? So, how about if you go abroad but no shop has this certificate?
Steven McHi Miss_muslima,
I heard that Muslims require a certificate, called "lahah" or something like that, to be sure that animals are killed after a prayer. Is it true? So, how about if you go abroad but no shop has this certificate?

Hi Steven

This certificate called (halal),it means permitted. It has been scientifically proved that man must slaughter the animal after saying (basmalah) it means islamic prayer ,because you know that nowadays they kill animals by electric shock, and by this way animal could not git rid of its whole blood, and this is medically is very dangerous. In Islam the animal must finish its blood obsolutely,.by this way meat is sure healthy to eat.

For the slaughter of the animals there are two main requirements according to the

Shari'ah: 1. Tasmiyah, 2. Tazkiyah.

1. Tasmiyah is mentioning the name of Allah at the time of slaughter. If a person is

slaughtering a few animals, he should pronounce Basmalah at the slaughter of

every animal. Ifhe is slaughtering a large number of animals, he should begin his

work with Basmalah and keep repeating it as much as he can; but he does not

need to recite it at every single slaughter.

2. Tazkiyah is purification of the animal from the flowing blood. This is done for

most of the animals by slitting the throat up to the two arteries but without cutting

the whole neck. The brain stem of the animal should remain connected to the

body because this helps in pushing the blood quickly from the body.

If these two procedures are followed, whether by cutting by human hands or by some

mechanical method, the slaughter is Ralal and is called proper Dhabihah. With the more

advanced technology, I believe that mechanical method as used for the slaughter of

animals is more precise, fast, hygienic and less painful for the animals.

ABROAD we can find many shops specially for muslims ,that we can find our food that (not forrbiden in islam)

but if we don not find we can eat fish (more healthy).

Teachers: We supply a list of EFL job vacancies
So, must all slaughterers be Muslims? And how to get this certificate?
It is not 'scientifically' dangerous to consume blood. This is a religious not health requirement.
Hi Steven and Nona:

Students: We have free audio pronunciation exercises.
Again, Miss Muslima, please provide the source of the information you have pasted in above.
Miss_muslimaIt has been scientifically proved that man must slaughter the animal after saying (basmalah)
Perhaps you would like to let us have details of the research?
Thanks for that link. It was interesting to read that it IS permissable to stun animals under those religious laws. I had always believed that was banned.

But it says nothing about the health risks of consuming blood. Again, I state that this is a religious edict and not a 'health' one. There's nothing wrong with having that rule but it certainly isn't backed up by any scientific evidence. Or can you show us some scientific evidence?
Students: Are you brave enough to let our tutors analyse your pronunciation?
